Al-Azhar Medical College and Super Speciality Hospital At Kumaramangalam Village, Thodupuzha Taluk, Idukki District, Kerala Is In Plan For Expansion Of Present Infrastructure By Increasing Bed Strength From 650 To 1030. It Is Vertical Expansion Of 5 Existing Buildings, Construction Of A New Building For Nurses Hostel, Multi-Level Car Parking (MLCP) And Other Amenities. Vertical Expansion Is Proposed For Hospital Block, College Block, Boys Hostel, Girls Hostel And Staff Quarters. The Amenities Proposed Include Mortuary, Canteen, Incinerator Building, And, Sump And Pump Room. Also Plan To Increase Bed Strength In Hospital From 150 To 250 Per Year . Total Plot Area Is Remain Same And Built Up Area Will Increase From 56881.81sqm To 147013.09sqm.
