The Block Covers An Area Of 1403.40 Sq.Km Out Of Which 1259.44 Sq.Km Area Lies In On Land Part Of Tamil Nadu And 143.97 Sq.Km Lies In Shallow Offshore Of Bay Of Bengal. 40.56 Sq. Km Area Of This Block Falls In Sivaganga District. Total Exploration Period For The Block Is For Six Years (6+2) Out Of Which Three Years For Initial Exploration Phase (With Provision For One Year Extension) And Three Years For Subsequent Exploration Phase
