Oil India Limited (OIL), A Government Of India Navaratna Enterprise, Is Currently Engaged In Carrying Out Hydrocarbon Exploration And Production Activities Mostly In Its Operational Areas In Upper Assam, Arunachal Pradesh And Mizoram In The North Eastern Part Of India. As Per Geo Scientific Study, OIL Has Identified Seven Locations Initially For The Purpose Of Exploration Of Hydrocarbon In The Safrai EC Block Area. The Proposed 301 Sq.Km Is Falling Entirely In Non Forest Areas In The State Of Assam. Thirteen (13 Nos) Locations Have Been Identified Based On The Interpretation Of Available G&G Data. This Rig Will Be Suitable For Deep Drilling Up To The Desired Depth Of 4000 Meters As Planned For The Project. Drilling Of Each Well Location Is Expected To Take Three To Four Months. Total Project Timeline Would Be 7 Years.
