Introduction And Scope Of Work1.0Introduction:Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (Kpcl) A Premier Power Generating Company Of Government Of Karnataka Has Established A Thermal Power Plant At Kudithini Village Near Bellary City Known As Bellary Thermal Power Station (Btps). The Power Plant Is Being Developed In Three Units. Kpcl Has Planned A Separate Township For Accommodating Staff Working In Btps. The Proposed Township Is Located Adjacent To Btps Power Plant And Covers An Area Of About 89.29 Acres. The Facilities Considered Includes Staff Quarters, Corporate And Non Corporate Guest Houses, Vip Rooms, Kindergarten, Primary And Secondary School, Shopping Complex, Bank, Sports And Recreation Center, Community Hall, Restaurant, Hospital, Post Office, Police Station, Security Block, Bus Stand Etc.Kpcl Has Appointed Stup Consultants Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru As Their Design Consultants For The Township Project. The “Master Plan” For The Proposed Township Has Been Already Prepared And Finalized In Consultations With Kpcl. In Addition To Construction Of Buildings, The Proposed Township Will Be Provided With Other Infrastructural Facilities Including Roads, Drains, Water Supply, Sewage Collection, Sewage Treatment Plant (Ttp), Rain Water Harvesting, Recycling Of Treated For Flushing, Gardening And Other Non Potable Uses, Electrical Power Utility Etc. The Source Of Water For The Proposed Township Has Been Identified As Existing Raw Water Storage Pond Located Within Btps Premises Which Intern Receives Water From Maralihalla Stream. The Raw Sewage Generated From The Entire Township Shall Be Conveyed To A Sewage Treatment Plant Located At Northern Boundary Of Township Adjacent To Proposed Play Ground. The Raw Sewage Shall Be Treated To Tertiary Standards At Ttp And Recycled / Reused Within The Township For Non Potable Purposes Including Flushing, Gardening / Landscaping / Tree Plantation, Ground Water Recharge Etc.Based On Detailed Water Demand Analysis And Estimation Of Sewage Flow, The Capacity Of Proposed Sewage Treatment Plant Has Been Arrived As 1.00 Mld. The Sewage Treatment Plant Shall Be Designed As A Tertiary Treatment Plant (Ttp) Wherein Treated Water From The Ttp Shall Be Reused For Non Potable Uses Within The Township. The Tertiary Treatment Plant Shall Be Capable Of Treating An Average Daily Sewage Flow Of 1.00 Mld And Main Process Units Shall Be In Two Streams / Compartments Of 0.50 Mld Each. The Raw Sewage For The Proposed Ttp Shall Be Drawn From Final Outfall Sewer Of Gravity Sewage Collection Network. The Treatment Process Shall Be Advanced Sequencing Batch Reactor (Asbr) Technology With Further Tertiary Treatment Units. The Ttp Works Shall Be Taken Up As “Turnkey” Contract.Kpcl Intends To Appoint An Agency Who Has Requisite Experience And Expertise To Execute The Tertiary Treatment Plant On “Turnkey” Basis. This Tender Is Called For Appointing An Agency For Establishing 1.00 Mld Capacity Tertiary Sewage Treatment Plant At Kpcl Btps Township. 2.0Scope Of Work:The Scope Of Work For The Proposed Tertiary Sewage Treatment Plant (Ttp) Tender Is As Given Below;I.Process Design And Detailed Engineering Design For 1.00 Mld Capacity Tertiary Sewage Treatment Plant With Advanced Sequencing Batch Reactor (Asbr) Technology Including Civil / Hydraulic, Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Instrumentation & Control System, Scada Etc. Complete.Ii.Obtaining “Consent For Establishment” Certificate From Kspcb. Iii.Construction, Erection, Testing And Commissioning Of The Entire Plant.Iv.Operation And Maintenance Of The Entire Plant For A Period Of One (1) Year From The Date Of Successful Testing And Commissioning Of The Ttp As Certified By The Engineer-In-Charge.V.Preparation And Submission Of Process And Hydraulic Calculations, Process / Plant Layout And Hydraulic Flow Diagrams Including Mass And Flow Balance Diagrams.Vi.Preparation And Submission Of Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, And Instrumentation And Control System Design Calculations, Technical Data Sheets, Vendor Documents And Drawings Etc.Vii.Preparation And Submission Of Structural And Architectural Drawings For All Civil Works, Building Works Etc. And Electromechanical Equipment Drawings Including Equipment Installation Drawings.Viii.All The Detailed Designs And Calculations As Above Shall Be Submitted To Kpcl / Consultant For Review And Approval.Ix.Supply, Erection, Testing And Commissioning Of The Entire Plant Including All The Equipments, Machinery, Pumps, Piping, Valves, Flow Meters, Instruments, All The Accessories Etc. Complete At Ttp.X.Providing Allied Works Like Roads, Drains, Compound Wall Around Ttp Area, Retaining Wall / Site Grading, Landscaping, Gardening, Tree Plantation Etc.Xi.Preparation And Submission Of O & M Manuals / Instructions And All As Built Drawings For Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Instrumentation And Control System Works Etc.Xii.Defect Liability Period Of One (1) Year From The Date Of Successful Completion Of Operation And Maintenance Period.Xiii.Obtaining Periodic Compliance Renewal Certificates From Kspcb.
