Salt With Inadequate Iodine In The Range Of 05 To Less Than 15Ppm.C. Salt With Adequate Levels Of Iodine 15Ppm And Above.The Kits Should Be Able To Detect Iodine Levels In The Salt From Various Sources And Characteristics E.G. Salts That Are Alkaline/Acidic In Nature And With Varying Sodium Chloride Content In The Country.The Test Kit Should Have Been Evaluated And Validated By At Least One International Agencies Like Who, Unicef, Mi And/Or National Level Laboratories Such As National Institute Of Nutrition, Hyderabad; National Centre For Disease Control, Delhi; All India Institute Of Medical Sciences, New Delhi; All India Institute Of Hygiene And Public Health, Kolkata; Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysore; Indian Council Of Medical Research And Council Of Scientific And Industrial Research Laboratories.
