| 2 | Supply, Providing, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Open-Well Type Horizontal Submersible Pumping Unit conforming to applicable IS specifications, complete with motor, pump, accessories and allied works, as per the following specifications.1.PumpType: Open-well type horizontal submersible pump, multistage, bowl/diffuser type, suitable for horizontal installation and operation while submerged in water.Speed: 2850 RPM.Discharge: 10000 GPH Total Dynamic Head (TDH): 30 metres.Impeller Material: Bronze / Stainless Steel / Chrome SteelInstallation: The pumping unit shall be installed horizontally inside the open well or water reservoir, fully submerged under the minimum permissible water level and in accordance with the manufacturer's installation instructions.The pump shall be suitable for continuous operation at the specified head and discharge, with adequate hydraulic efficiency and without excessive vibration, noise or overheating.2. Motor / Prime MoverThe pumping unit shall be provided with a suitably rated, water-cooled, three-phase AC submersible motor designed for horizontal operation and compatible with the pump.Type: Open-well type horizontal submersible motor.Speed: 2850 RPM.Supply: Three-phase AC, 50 Hz.Rated Voltage: 380 V ±10%, or as per the available approved electrical supply.Motor Capacity: Suitable for delivering the specified discharge of 10000 GPH against a total dynamic head of 30 metres, with adequate power margin and in accordance with the manufacturer's pump performance curve.The motor shall be water-cooled and designed for continuous submerged operation in the specified horizontal mounting position.The motor shall be adequately sealed to prevent ingress of well water into the motor's internal components and shall be provided with suitable sealing arrangements compatible with horizontal operation.The motor shall be suitable for the specified voltage and frequency, conforming to applicable Indian Standards and their latest amendments.Motor earthing shall conform to IS 3043 or the applicable latest standard.The thrust bearing and other bearings shall be adequately designed to withstand the weight of rotating components and the hydraulic thrust generated during operation.The bearing arrangement and lubrication system shall be suitable for the intended horizontal mounting position.The rotor shaft shall be provided with suitable corrosion-resistant shaft sleeves having a surface finish of 0.75 micron Ra maximum, wherever applicable to the selected design.Suitable diaphragm, bellows or equivalent pressure-compensation arrangements shall be provided wherever required by the manufacturer.All wetted and exposed components shall be manufactured from corrosion-resistant materials suitable for the water quality and operating conditions.Motor nameplateThe motor shall bear a nameplate showing the following details:Name of manufacturer.Manufacturer's serial number and frame/type designation.Type of duty.Frequency in Hz.Number of phases.Rated output in kW/HP.Rated voltage and connection details.Approximate rated current in amperes.Rated speed in RPM.3. Accessories and Allied WorksThe job shall include the supply, fitting and installation of all necessary accessories, including:1. Suitable MS strengthening/supporting clamps and brackets for horizontal mounting of the pump-motor assembly.2. Pump-motor coupling, where applicable to the selected pump design.3. Suitable GI nipple, approximately 2 feet long, with one end threaded and the other end fitted with a 12 mm thick MS flange by double-layer welding, or an equivalent approved discharge connection compatible with the pump and delivery pipeline, Gaskets , nuts and bolts required are all included.4. Suitable discharge connection, flange, bends, fasteners, gaskets and other fittings required for proper connection to the column/delivery pipe as per site requirements.5. Suitable interlocking or mechanical safety arrangement to prevent separation or failure of the coupling, wherever applicable to the selected design.6. Suitable corrosion-resistant support arrangement to secure the pumping unit firmly in the required horizontal position.7. All necessary electrical connections, cable termination accessories, earthing connections and protective arrangements required for safe operation, any material required all included.All materials, fittings and accessories shall be of approved quality and suitable for the specified operating conditions.4. Installation, Testing and CommissioningThe work shall include complete installation, testing and commissioning of the open-well type horizontal submersible pumping unit at site, including:Inspection of the pump, motor and accessories before installation.Proper horizontal positioning, levelling, alignment and secure mounting of the pumping unit.Connection to the discharge pipeline and electrical supply.Checking of insulation resistance, earthing, phase sequence and electrical connections.Verification of the direction of rotation, where applicable.Testing of the pumping unit under operating conditions at the specified discharge and head, subject to the available site conditions.5. Manufacturer's Test CertificateThe supplier shall provide an authentic online test certificate issued by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the pumping equipment to the department at the time of supply.The certificate shall identify the supplied pump and motor and, as applicable, include the manufacturer's test results, discharge, head, speed, motor rating, voltage, current and other relevant performance parameters.6. General ConditionsThe complete pumping unit shall be new, unused and manufactured by an approved OEM.The pump and motor shall be compatible and suitable for horizontal submerged operation.The supplier shall provide the manufacturer's installation, operation and maintenance instructions.Installation shall be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations and applicable safety standards.The supplier shall rectify any defects arising during installation, testing and commissioning attributable to defective workmanship or materials, in accordance with the contract conditions..Note: The applicable Indian Standard and the manufacturer's certified performance curve should be verified for the selected pump type. The specified duty point of 10000 GPH at 30 metres TDH must be confirmed by the OEM before the equipment is approved. |
