| 1 | Taking down ceiling fans of any make, type, sweep and size from various locations/buildings as directed, including disconnecting electrical connections, removing the existing fan rods, fitting the new anti-suicidal fan rods, reassembling the fans in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations and refixing them at their original locations, including reconnecting the fans to the existing electrical system using copper flexible cable, testing for proper speed and smooth operation complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.NOTE: New anti-suicidal fan rods shall be measured and paid for separately under the relevant “Supply Only” items. |
| 2 | Supply only new anti-suicidal fan rod, 12 inch long, in off-white colour, comprising a two-part MS down rod with an in-built spring mechanism designed to separate at the joint under with a specified opening load of approximately 20 Kg complete with the following:(a) Pair of electrical supply wires.(b) Holes for fitting the ceiling shackle.(c) Supply-wire outlet hole, complete with protective caps.(d) Connecting wire for the fan motor.(e) Safety-screw fitting holes suitable for the fan.(f) Holes for fitting the fan motor shaft.(g) Necessary insulation sleeves, fittings and accessories, complete.The rod shall be suitable for the existing ceiling fan and shall be supplied complete, ready for installation, in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. The specified load at which the joint opens shall be supported by the manufacturer's test report.MAKE: GOLD LIFE or any other make as approved by the GE. |
