Project Description
Tender for Consultancy Services For Structural Soundness And Ndt Testing Of Various Buildings At installation Mandovi
BOQ
| Sl. No. | Item Description |
| 1 | To carryout structural audit of Following bldgs at INS Mandovi . LIST OF BUILDINGS :- P-49, P-57, P-58, P-72, P-111, P-117, P-118, P-119, P-124, P-125, T-2, T-3, T-4, T-5, T-6, T-7, T-8, T-9, T-10, T-18, T-27, T-28, T-44 and T-51 Adequate number of various non destructive tests including rebound hammer test, ultrasonic pulse velocity test (UPV), carbonation test, resistivity test, PH and chloride and sulphate in accordance with IS 456-200, core and compression test, half cell potential test (HCP) etc , shall be carried out as per methodology given below :- |
| 2 | 1. REBOUND HAMMER TEST:- Determining the estimated compressive strength ofconcrete and uniformity of concrete in terms of surface hardness as per IS 13311 (Part-2)-1992, ASTM C 805-02, BS 6089 1981 and BS 1881 Part 202, BS-EN 13791, also establishing correlation chart between rebound hammer and other confirmatory test for having estimated in-situ strength of concrete if required. In absence of the confirmatory test strength data will be generated on the basis of empirical formula (obtained from the calibration chart) but those results will have 25% variation as per IS 13311 Part 2 1992. |
| 3 | 2. ULTRASONIC PULSE VELOCITY TEST:- Ascertaining the quality of concrete, uniformity of concrete in terms of soundness and density of concrete as per IS 13311 (Part-1)-1992, ASTM C597-83, BS 6089: 1981 and BS 1881: Part 203 and BS EN 13791, also establishing correlation chart between USPV and other confirmatory test for having estimated in-situ strength of concrete if required. |
| 4 | 3. COVER CARBONATION TEST:- Cover carbonation test for measurement of carbonation depth by phenolphthalein spray test at selected locations (drilled powder sample or concrete core sample as per site condition) on RCC members of the structures covered under the study to see the depth of carbonation as per BS EN 14630, 2006, BS EN 13295 2004. Cover depth is also measured at the same location to know the ration of Carbonation depth. |
| 5 | 4. RESISTIVITY TEST:- Resistivity test is required to be carried out with resistivity meter test to determination or estimation of the likelihood of corrosion due to poor quality of concrete, correlation to chloride permeability, determination of zonal requirements for cathodic protection systems, Identification of areas within a structure most susceptible to chloride penetration as per BS EN 12696:2000, RILEM TC-154, AASHTO T277 RCP, AASHTO 1259, ASTM C 1202 97. |
| 6 | 5. PH and Chloride:- PH Value (to check alkanity of concrete) as per relevant B S. 5328 ACI 201. 2R-92 and ACI-318-99, IS 456 2000, BS 811. |
| 7 | 6. CORE EXTRACTION TESTING :- By extracting the concrete core samples following the codal provisions, and evaluating the properties (fck value, grade of concrete) in the laboratory from the core samples selected IS456:2000, IS 516: 1959, IS 1199 2002, ASTM C-42, without encountering any steel reinforcement from the RCC members covered under the study at locations specified by engineer- in-charge with portable power driven core cutting equipment.Note:- Core cutting area shall be repaired by the contractor after samples are taken for testing |
| 8 | 7. HALF CELL POTENTIAL TEST :- To define the corrosion potential of RCC sections where steel bars are exposed. Continuity of steel is assumed/checked prior to testing. One re-bar needs to be exposed to act as a one point. This is connected to the Copper Sulphate half-cell through a millimeter. The other point of the half-cell is directly connected at various locations on the concrete surface, which is pre wet. Completions of circuit give a reading on the millimeter, which is the potential difference between the tested points. High negative difference indicates that the corrosion potential is maximum. Various readings are taken within a close grid at equal interval of 150 or 300 mm centre. Contours are then drawn to indicate areas with varying corrosion potential. |
| 9 | 8. VISUAL SURVEY - Visual inspection for surface damages, damage classification. The visual inspection shall largely cover areas of high distress, corrosion, moisture, leakage, abnormal variations in structure, algae and fungus growth, efflorescence, etc. Visual inspection would be documented in the form of worksheets, photographic records, and distress over drawings. Simple tools and instruments like camera with flash light, magnifying glass, binoculars, chisel and hammer, etc. shall be used for measuring the distresses as per site requirement. |
| 10 | 9. REPORT INTERPRETATION AND RECOMMENDATION - Preparing and submitting separate report for each building consisting of findings from visual inspection, test data, interpretation of results, conclusions and final recommendations along with sketch indicating the location of the test in 5 sets. The HD quality site photographs and Video shall be provided in a good quality of CD/DVD/USB hard disk along with hard copy but any data generated from the patented software can't be edited so those files can't be provided in the editable format. |
| 11 | 10. Structural audit including the following :- (a) A formal report shall be submitted on the :-(i) Test carried out(ii) Methodology followed(iii) Results obtained (iv) The interpretation of the results(v) Condition survey report(b) Based on the interpretation of the results, the corrective actions required alongwith the detailed steps and the methodology of the repair work to be done including technical and material specification shall be suggested in written in the report.(c) The structural audit report shall be vetted from NIT/IIT Please Enable Macros to View BoQ information |
