| 6 | Supply, laying, jointing and testing ductile iron pipes with spigot and socket ends, centrifugally cast, class -K 9, conforming to IS 8329 of 150 mm bore in any length, laid in trenches/ pipe support etc, pressure testing after laying complete as per IS- 12288 including styrene butadiene rubber gasket joints complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Notes for item No. 5 and 6 :- i) Tyton joints required are deemed to be included in the unit rate.ii) The Quantity considered in the schedule is tentative. The contractor shall execute the work as per directions of Engr-in-Charge.ii) The contractor shall execute the work without disturbing the existing pipe line. iii) Prior permission shall be taken for road cutting for crossing of pipeline and work shall be completed the same day to ensure utility of road. Barrier/ flagmen shall be ensured during the period. |
| 7 | iv) Many sewage lines/ chambers and LT/HT/ communication cables are passing through the area, hence due care shall be taken by the contractor during excavation and laying of pipe. Where new pipe line laying crosses the existing sewage line, the contractor shall ensure that the crossing is made using a full length pipe. No joints / fittings shall be permitted within a distance of 2.5 meter in either side of sewage line centre point and PCC 1:3:6 concrete packing shall be provided completely surrounding the sewage line at the crossing as directed to avoid a chance of contamination. Exacavation shall be carried out by manual means in such locations as per directions of Eng in charge. Please note that any damage caused to existing infrastructure shall be made good by the contractor at his own cost and necesaary fiitings and cable joints shall be provided immediately to ensure uninterrupted supply. The damage should be rectified immediately within 06 hrs and any further delay may attract a penalty of Rs.1000.00 per Hr. |
| 8 | v) Contractor shall ensure proper road barricading and safety measures while executing the road cutting work.vi) The contractor shall provide flange end type DI pipe for rising mains wherever required at site.vii) The work shall be carried out in pieces where required only as directed by Engr -in-Charge without changing the whole stretch of pipe line. viii) The rate quoted shall be deemed to include all the above points. |
