| 1 | Providing and fixing 25 mm thick, rough-chiselled Kota stone slabs, of approximate size 600 mm × 600 mm or size as required and approved by IIT Dharwad, for footpaths/walkways, laid directly over the prepared earth surface in an alternate, zig-zag or other approved pattern/design as specified by IIT Dharwad, with the required spacing between individual slabs and without any jointing material. The work shall include levelling, dressing and proper preparation of the existing earth surface to a depth not exceeding 100 mm, including cutting and fitting of slabs wherever required, laying and alignment, all necessary labour, materials, tools and plants, transportation, loading and unloading, and excavation and disposal of surplus earth, complete in all respects as per the approved layout, drawings/ design and directions of the Engineer-in-Charge. |

| 5 | Providing and laying 60 mm thick factory made cement concrete interlocking paver block of M -30 grade made by block making machine with strong vibratory compaction, of approved size, design & shape, laid in required colour and pattern over and including 50 mm thick compacted bed of 6 mm downgraded stone aggregate, filling the joints with fine sand etc. all complete as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge. |
| 6 | Filling and sealing the joints/gaps between kerb stones and paver blocks, or between adjacent paver blocks, with cement mortar 1:3 or M-25 grade concrete, as required at site, for joint widths up to 150 mm and depths up to 60 mm, including cleaning and preparation of the joints, mixing, placing, compacting and finishing of the filling material, removal of excess material and providing a neat and uniform finished surface, complete in all respects, as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
