| 1 | Supply, install, test and commission a single-point air-termination rod of solid copper, 12 mm diameter and 300 mm minimum length, complete with compatible corrosion-resistant base/support, clamps, fasteners and connection to the roof-conductor network. Installation shall comply with the approved lightning-protection layout and IS/IEC 62305. The rate shall include all tools, access arrangements, making good of fixing locations and removal of debris. No dissimilar-metal contact shall be permitted unless separated by an approved bimetallic connector. |
| 2 | S&F copper strip, 20 mm x 3.15 mm, for roof conductors and down conductors of the lightning-protection system, including UV-resistant insulating saddles, fixing screws, clamps, bends, joints and terminations. Maintain the routing, separation distances and fixing intervals . Joints shall be by exothermic weld or approved high-conductivity bolted connector, accessible for inspection and protected against corrosion. Rate includes all tools, access arrangements, making good and site clearance. |
| 3 | Supply, install, test and commission one complete lightning-protection air terminal set, comprising air terminal, insulated coupler, 4.0 m mast, base plate, anchors and all accessories. The quoted protection radius of 42 m shall be demonstrated by the manufacturer for the approved installation height and the design level of protection; it shall not be accepted as a fixed radius independent of height. The set shall comply with the applicable approved standard (NF C 17-102 for ESE systems, or IS/IEC 62305 for conventional systems), be supported by manufacturer test certificates and be compatible with the approved layout. Mast: GI, hot-dip galvanized after fabrication, 48 mm outer diameter minimum, 3.2 mm wall minimum, 4.0 m overall height, with a 220 mm diameter x 10 mm minimum base plate and four 16 mm anchor holes. Provide approved insulating coupler, base anchors, cable ties, clamps, conductor connection and all accessories. Installation on a concrete surface shall be by approved anchors; structural adequacy and waterproofing/making-good are included. Rate includes all tests, drawings, certificates and commissioning. |
| 4 | Supply, install, test and commission maintenance-free chemical earthing comprising one copper-bonded steel electrode, 3.0 m long x 17 mm minimum diameter, with low-carbon steel core (SAE 1018 or equivalent) and 250 microns minimum electrolytic copper bonding. Provide compatible copper-bonded/GI test terminal clamp, earth lead connection, inspection chamber, conductive backfill compound, excavation, installation and reinstatement. Backfill compound shall be RoHS-compliant, non-corrosive, non-leaching and from an approved manufacturer; proprietary names are not mandatory and 'or approved equivalent' shall apply. Install strictly to the manufacturer’s written instructions and IS 3043. The electrode top shall be permanently sealed with conductive concrete and the copper strip shall terminate at an accessible earth test point. Submit pre- and post-installation test results using an approved earth-resistance tester. For a lightning-protection earth, the measured resistance shall not exceed 10 ohms, or the lower value stated in the approved design. Do not use a material-resistivity claim as a substitute for measured earth resistance. |
| 5 | S&F heavy-duty UV-resistant HDPE/FRP inspection pit cover and frame for the chemical-earthing chamber, complete with lifting arrangement, marking 'EARTH PIT', seating, bedding and making good. Clear opening shall suit the approved chamber and shall not be less than 300 mm x 300 mm. The cover shall be suitable for the actual installation location and load class. |

NOTE : (i) The cost of earth lead and its protection pipe upto and including 7.5 m only from the top of earth electrode are deemed to be included under this item and additional earth lead , if any, required at site shall be measured and paid for separately under appropriate item of Schedule `A’/BOQ.(ii) Any joint in earth lead from earth electrode to test point shall not be allowed/permitted. |
