34For Milestone G4:- In case of increase/decrease of quantities of ordered train sets on account of exercising of option by the Employer, the declared quantity by the Bidder of consumables required under this Milestone will be increased/decreased on pro-rata basis. There shall be no change in the unit cost of consumables quoted by the Bidder.
35Employer at his sole discretion may exercise the option to increase/decrease the quantities (to any extent) of spares indicated under milestones G1, G2, G4, G5 and G6. However, the value for the option to increase/decrease the quanitities shall be within the ±15% of the Contract Price.For increased quantities, payment to the contractor shall be on the basis of actual supplies made and quoted unit rates and no escalation or any other additional sums shall be payable. Any increase/decrase in quantities may be intimated at any time during till completion of 5 years after taking over of the last trainset by Employer. The delivery schedule for the enhanced quantities shall be mutually agreed.
36Accomplishment of Milestone 'G6' will be a pre-requisite for issue of the Performance Certificate.
37Contractor shall indicate the annual percentage escalation/deflation that will be applicable for increase or decrease of the unit cost of each item/spare listed in Annexures GA1, GA2, GA4, GA5 and GA6 for procurement by Employer for a period of upto five years after completion of five years from the date of taking over of last trainset.For avoidance of doubt, following example is provided:Say, the date of taking over of last trainset is 07-Nov-2024, then the price quoted for each item/spare listed in Annexures GA1, GA2, GA4, GA5 and GA6 shall be applicable till 06-Nov-2029 and the annual percentage escalation/deflation on the price quoted for each item/spare listed in Annexures GA1, GA2, GA4, GA5 and GA6 shall be applicable for the period from 07-Nov-2029 to 05-Nov-2034.
38Employer may exercise the option to procure individual Spares listed in Annexures GA1, GA2, GA4, GA5 and GA6 by the Bidder at any time within five years after completion of five years from the date of taking over of last trainset by PMRCL. Procurement Price in such case shall be calculated by considering the percentage of increase/decrease per annum (with minimum duration as one month) as quoted by the Contractor in Annexures GA1, GA2, GA4, GA5 and GA6.For avoidance of doubt, following example is provided:Say, the date of taking over of last trainset is 07-Nov-2024, then the price quoted for each item/spare listed in Annexures GA1, GA2, GA4, GA5 and GA6 shall remain same for the supplies instructed/ordered by PMRCL till 06-Nov-2029. The annual percentage escalation/deflation on the price quoted for each item/spare listed in Annexures GA1, GA2, GA4, GA5 and GA6 shall be applicable on the supplies instructed/ordered by PMRCL during the period from 07-Nov-2029 to 05-Nov-2034.

41Cases where the Bidder has quoted unit rates but the quoted quantity do not match with the specified quantity in the Bid – Unit price quoted will be considered for calculating the procurement price of the quantities specified in the Bid and this calculated price will be considered for evaluation.
42Cases where Bidder has mentioned unit rates as 'ZERO' or '0' or '-' or 'NIL':– For all such items the prices shall be considered as '0 (Zero)' for evaluation.– Also, during actual contract execution, such items, if any, will be considered as to be supplied free of cost to the Employer.
