Note:- (i) RCC pit cover shall be precast of RCC(1:2:4) type B1, 80mm thick rainforced with XPM weighing not less than 4kg/sqm in lieu of CI cover.(ii) Cost of additional GI strip more than 7.5 mtrs will be measured and paid seperately under relevant items. |

| 8 | Material & labour in replacement for maintenance free chemical earthing complete with copper solid rod 10 feet length, 17.2 mm dia, made of copper bonded grounding rod (250+ microns) is a high-tensile, low-carbon steel rod molecularly bonded with 99.9% pure copper, complies with Underwriters Laboratories (UL 467) standards, with exothermally jointed exothermic jointed Copper plate of 90 cm x 60 cmx5mm for connection The rod and exothermic joint together successfuly tested at 25KA fault current by CPRI, filling around the electrode with minimum 50 kg ecofriendiy earth enhancing compound (bentonite/graphite based conductive compound) having low resistivity with each earth rod comply to EC62561 The earth electrode shall be installed by boring a hole of approx 125 mm dia up to a depth of 4.5 mtr below ground level top edge of earth rod at a depth not less than 1.5 metre below normal ground level or as per manufacturers instruction, electrode connections by using earth continuty copper strip 32x6 mm (upto test point from top of rod, ie. 7.5m min) by means of brass bolts/nuts/washers drawn thraugh and including protected by 50mm dia GI light grade protection pipe from earth plate to test point, including excavation and earth Work, complete with HDPE/PVC earth pit chamber with FRP cover of sutable size, installation, commissioning and testing complete all as specified and as directed. |
| 9 | Notes- (a) Installation of earthing shall be carried out by the manufacturerl company's authorised engineer, from a company approved by AGE(I) at site The cost of installation, supervision and commissioning shall be deemed to be included in the quoted unit rate. Nothing extra shal be paid on this account.b) Testing shall be carried out by the authorised representative of the manufacturer/company in the presence of the Engineer-in-Charge The earth Tesistance value shall not exceed 1 ohm. The contractor shall make al necessary arangements for testing of earthing including providing required instruments, accessories and labour, as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Test resut wil be recorded in a register and signed by all concern.c) Addtional earth enhancing compound. if required to achieve earth resistance not exceeding 1 Ohm, shall be provided by the contraCtor and the cost of the same shall be deemed to be included in the quoted unit rate. |
