The job involves complete draining out of 1200 mm rising main through washout and utilizing services of semi-skilled /skilled labors having good knowhow of the job. The joint needs excavation of earth pit to expose base properly for its easy dismantling. The job involves following works to be carried at site. |
| 2 | Earth work in bulk excavation by manual means of size 6 feet length X 6 feet width X 3 feet depth pit to expose the base of the dismantling joint for unbolting existing nuts bolts and make a working place for easy dismantling. |
| 3 | Dismantling of whole 1300mm dia. MS Expansion Joint by way of unbolting, cutting of welded/rusted nuts /bolts utilizing gas cutter /power Grinder for the purpose.The job involves removing of slip-on/gland piece including damaged metallic packing |
| 4 | Providing of graphited natural fiber (non-asbestos) packing/braided gland packing by rolling through circumference of the joint to the full extent ensuring plugging of leakage. |
