| 4 | SPECIAL TECHNICAL CONDITIONS1. Each four-layer neon signage system shall be provided with independent high-voltage electronic neon transformers for each individual layer or designated section to ensure reliable operation, fault isolation and ease of maintenance.2. The electrical system shall be designed with independent line-wise circuits so that failure of any individual neon tube, transformer or associated high-voltage circuit shall not affect the operation of the remaining healthy layers, thereby maintaining partial illumination and visibility of the signage until rectification.All high-voltage wiring shall be executed using 15 kV grade UV-resistant weatherproof silicone insulated high-voltage cable complete with approved insulated connectors, sleeves and accessories.3. Neon transformers shall be IP65 outdoor type, electronic, energy efficient, short-circuit protected, open-circuit protected and suitable for continuous operation on 230 Volt AC, 50 Hz supply.4. Neon glass tubes shall be of uniform saffron colour, free from cracks, bubbles and manufacturing defects, and shall provide continuous flicker-free illumination.5. Tube supports, insulators, clamps and fixing accessories shall be UV-resistant, corrosion-resistant and suitable for outdoor installation.6. All transformer bodies, metallic sign frames, supporting structures and associated metallic components shall be effectively bonded to the earthing system in accordance with relevant Indian Standards. |
| 5 | 7.The complete installation shall be weatherproof and capable of withstanding outdoor environmental conditions including rain, humidity, dust, sunlight and normal wind loading.8. All electrical joints and high-voltage terminations shall be properly insulated, mechanically secured and protected against moisture ingress.9. The complete installation shall be tested for Insulation Resistance (Megger Test), Earth Continuity Test, Operational Test, Illumination Uniformity Test and successful 24-hour trial run before handing over.10. The contractor shall submit test reports, warranty certificate, transformer details, as-built wiring diagram and operation & maintenance instructions after successful completion of the work.All dismantled neon tubes and recoverable materials shall be handed over to the Department as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
