| 2 | Mobilization, Site Preparation, Scaffolding & Lifting:1.Mobilization of skilled manpower, supervisors & safety personnel to offshore site2. Erection of scaffolding (all types) & safe working platform on all sides of CACA unit at approx. 15–18 ft height3. Supply of scaffolding material for working platform4. Arrangement of all tools, tackles, chain blocks, beam clamps, belts & fixed clamps of appropriate rating5. Removal of air inlet & outlet ducts to expose heat exchanger for free access6. Making the CACA unit on-skid or lifting just above skid as required for access. |
| 3 | Inspection, Cleaning & Non- Destructive Testing (NDT):1. Thorough cleaning of all 1530 heat exchanger tubes using high-pressure air2. Hydrostatic / Pneumatic pressure testing of each individual tube up to designed pressure to detect leaks3. Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) by Eddy Current Testing (ECT) and/or Boroscopic inspection to detect cracks, corrosion & wall-thinning4. . Documentation of test results with tube-by-tube inspection report5. Checking overall integrity of CACA Heat Exchanger & evaluation of thermal performance with air flow rate |
| 4 | Tube Repair, Plugging & Replacement Works:1. . Removal of damaged / leaking tubes (estimated ~200–250 nos.) or fixing suitable-size blinds on both ends of damaged tubes in consultation with ONGC platform team2. Supply of suitable blinds as per size requirement3. Proper fixing & sealing of blinds to damaged tubes4. Closure of area around removed tubes on both sides of CACA unit with suitable material & argon welding5. In-situ repair of damaged tubes by argon welding or other approved methods wherever possible6. CACA unit tanking-down to floor level if required for repair execution7. Supply of all special tools & materials required for tube removal/repair works8. Replacement of gasket between foundation and CACA unit base structure as per OEM grade |
| 5 | Surface Treatment & Protective Coating:1. Surface preparation (cleaning / degreasing / rust removal) of external surface of CACA Heat Exchanger2. Application of fresh coat of corrosion-proof epoxy paint over entire external surface of CACA Heat Exchanger3. Supply of corrosion-proof epoxy paint & consumables4. Inspection & approval of painted surface before final reinstatement |
