| 20 | Notes :- (a) The contractor shall submit the drawings of ISO Container for approval of Accepting Officer through concerned GE prior to placing order / procurement. (b) Corner Castings : The ISO Container shall be built to ISO 1161 specification on all eight corners for handling & locking and casting of ISO Container shall be out of heavy steel at all eight corners.(c) Governing ISO Norms : The ISO container shall be certified under ISO 668 (Classifications and dimensions), ISO 1496 (Testing) and ISO 6346 (Coding/Marking). (d) The tare weight of 40 foot ISO Container shall not be less than 3700 kg.(e) The type of container catered in this tender shall be 40 feet standard general purpose dry container. (f) The overall dimension and the minimum internal dimensions and door opening for general purpose containers shall be as per ISO 668 (1995) and corresponding IS : 6566 (2001). The nominal dimensions of ISO Container shall be as per designation 1AA accordingly. (g) The frame of ISO Container shall be made of high strength corten weathering steel columns (corner posts) and longitudinal rails. (h) The walls of ISO Containers shall be of corrugated steel panels welded to the frame to provide rigid shear strength.(j) The flooring of ISO Container shall be typically 28mm thick marine grade plywood screwed to steel cross members underneath.(k) The construction of ISO Container and any missing details shall be as per standard ISO norms and IS standards, IS : 6566 (2001).Make of ISO Containers : APPL Containers limited / LAVA Engineering Company / DCM Hyundai Ltd (DCM Shriram Group) or equivalent as approved by GE. |
