Name of Work:- MCEW TO RESTORATION OF CHHATRI (TOMB 10) AT BHUJ
Sl. No. Item Description
1Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the exterior side of building/structure, upto 25 metre height, above ground level, including additional rows of scaffolding in stepped manner as per requirement of site, made with 40mm dia M.S. tube, placed 1.5 metre centre to centre, horizontal & vertical tubes joint with cup & lock system with M.S. Tubes, M.S. tube challis, M.S. clamps and staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc. and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for execution of work of cleaning and/ or pointing and/ or applying chemical and removing it thereafter. The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connecting with the building etc, wherever required, if feasible, for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc., complete as per directions and approval of Engineer-in-charge.
2Earthwork excavation for foundation and trenches in all kinds of soils including dressing of the sides, ramming of bottom, disposing the surplus excavated materials with in a distance of 50 mtrs and lift up to 2.00mtrs, etc complete all as per specifications and as directed. (Disposed soil to be levelled by breaking clods if any and neatly dressed)
3Supplying and filling in plinth with SAND in layers not exceeding 15cm in depth consolidating each deposited layer by ramming thoroughly, watering and dressing etc; complete for all leads and lifts.
4Providing and laying plain Lime concrete 1:3:6 using 40mm nominal Size hard sand stone aggregates obtained from approved quarry Including compaction, finishing top surface to level, cost of form work Curing etc complete; all as per specifications and directed.
5Providing and constructing randum rubble stone masonry using hard sand stones/granite stones obtained from approved quarry with bond stones at 2mtrs apart in each course neatly chissel dressed and set in cement mortor 1:6 without pinning on face, but racking the joints and Pointing using same mortar, curing etc: complete all as per Specifications and as directed, for foundation.
6Documentation of the dilapidated GRAVES, architectural members of CHATRI by graphycally and protographycally, numbering,systematycally, providing adequate steel scffolding,and removing each course with each stone ,recording the dimensions of each stone, lifting the architectural members by using mechanical equipment like chain pullyblock, wire ropes, steel scffolding system,/crane etc without damaging any part of stone/ architectural members,scraping the dead mortor,and stacking the members systematically,including removal of dead core materials, disposingoff the unserviceable materials, stacking the serviceable materials for reuse,andwashing the stones using liquid ammonia and detergents to remove the strains and stacking them for reuse etc; complete all as per specifications at all heights.
7Providing and constructing architectural carved sand stone masonry with40% of new stones obtained from approved quarry, including dressing of sides, (4 line dressing), carving of the members as per architectural drawings Of vysara style with carved mouldings like upapeetha, adhistana, bhitti, Jagati, uttira, sikhra, pilasters, beams and wall stones, etc complete; all as per specification and direction, with joints mitered jointed and Set in Lime mortar 1:2 including aligning, leveling, filling The Interstices’ using stone spalls, set in Limet mortar, filling the Crevices, hire charges of lifting devises, finishing, curing, and finally finishing the surfaces to required lusture, pointing the joints wherever required, resembling the structure of main temple; complete all as per specifications, at all heights all complete as per approved drawings , specifications and as per the directions of Engineer in charge. SANDSTONE ASHLAR carved columns/moulded bhodige/ARCHs. Both faces dressed.ornamental work.
8providing & laying RED sand stone flooring of 40 to 50 mm avg thickness obtained from approved quarry with top and sides neatly 4 line dressed with palamanne finish including machine cutting of the joints, seating to proper levels/ slopes over a bed of 30mm LM 1;3 , with a floating coat of lime slurry spread uniformly and pointing with lime, neatly finishing the surfaces to uniform level, disposing off the unserviceable materials and providing base lime concrete 1:4:8 of 100mm thick laid uniformly, curing etc; complete all as per specifications & as directed.
9\\"Providing and laying of the surkhi concrete over the roof using brick aggregrates of 20mm down size obtained from first class brunt brick mixed with slaked lime (1part of slaked lime 2 part of brick aggregares) of C class as per IS712 brunt quick lime suitable for structural purposes well slaked and mixed in proportion using mechanical mixers to the required consistency and laying the concrete to the required level/slopes not more than 1:100 with a minimum thickness of 100mm on edge and in layers of 200mm for the thickness of more than 200mm. levelling compaction shall be carried out using hand wooden beater continuously for 3days by pouring the mixture of kadukkai and molasis(in proportion of the mixture well prepared) till the concrete hardens readily rebounds and the beat marks no impression on the concerete if the surface becomes uneven during the beating the concrete shall be pricked up and fresh concrete spread to uniform level, consolidated to obtain an even surface and the whole concrete shall be cured by sprinkling the water constantly. the cost includes all materials, labour, scaffolding, hire charges of machinery etc. complete all as per specifications at all heights.
10Provision for hiring of crane for lifting of architectural stone members of the structure carefully withouit damaging any part of the monument including belt for lifitng, diesel etc complete as per site incharge
11Reconstuction of the Graves including Fixing charges for carved membersornamental/ plain stone members using all lifting devises and mechanical equipment, fixing the members in position, aligning, and placing them using Lime mortor 1:2, cutting the stones to the required profile, fixing them with the appropriate tools, positioning to the architectural profile, setting them as required, necessary staging, curing, etc complete all as per specifications and as directed.
12After careful documentation, removal of dislodged / disturbed masonry platforms and re-arranging / restoration of same by using 40% new stones, whatever required, in lime mortar, in proper line and level, with all materials, labors, curing etc. all complete as directed by site in-charge.
