The valve connections shall be compression type conforming to BS 864 Part 2, suitable for installation without brazing.The valves shall be supplied factory cleaned/degreased and suitable for medical gas service, with gas-compatible materials and seals. The valve shall provide positive shut-off and shall be capable of being locked in the open and/or closed position to prevent unauthorized operation.The bidder shall submit manufacturer's technical datasheet, pressure-rating certificate/test certificate, compliance certificate and manufacturer's authorization along with the technical bid. All valves shall be suitable for the respective medical gas service and shall be installed, tested and commissioned as per the applicable medical gas pipeline standard.Valve Box, Lockable Window and Pressure Gauge:All ball valves installed at site shall be provided with a suitable protective valve box/enclosure for protection of the valve and associated fittings. The valve box shall be provided with a lockable transparent window/door with breakable glass for easy identification and emergency access to the valve. Each valve assembly shall also be provided with a suitable pressure gauge for observing the pipeline pressure, complete with all necessary fittings and connections.The cost of the valve box, lockable breakable-glass window, pressure gauge, fittings, accessories, installation, testing and commissioning shall be deemed to be included in the quoted unit price of each ball valve.
