Name of Work:- FIXING OF NEW GALVALUME SHEETS AND NEW VALLEY GUTTERS FOR RG-I SHOP AT HVF, AVADI.
Sl. No. Item Description
1Dismantling of Asbestos cement (corrugated, semicorrugated, etc.) sheets in roof coverings, claddings, ridges, hips, valleys and flashings AC valley gutters etc., including loosening rusted bolts, cutting wherever required and staking at Ground without damaging sheets. The contractor is responsible for safe removal of AC sheets by loosening, cutting, welding of existing corroded bolts, screws etc., the work shall be executed at a height exceeding 10 metres height from the average ground level but not exceeding 20 metres height.
2S & F of Pre-painted(SMP) galvalume aluminium zinc coating GI based corrugated steel sheet 0.50mm (TCT) thick of an colour having tensile strength of 550Mpa as in roof covering/cladding to wall fixed with self drilling / self tapping anti corrosive screws with EPDM seal with crimping/reverse crimping wherever required (crimping charges will be measured and paid separately) complete all as per manufacturers specifications and instructions and as approved and as directed, by considering the dimensions & height (13.00m - 20.00m approx) including all necessary scaffolding and safety aspects complete as required at site. The overall length of sheet (including crimp/reverse crimp) will be taken for measurement and No extra allowance will be paid for crimping area, the work shall be executed at a height exceeding 10 metres height from the average ground level but not exceeding 20 metres height.
3Labour charges for Crimping the edges (by mechanical means) of the corrugated profile galvalume sheet 0.50 mm (TCT) to form the crimp eaves . The profile shall be made as per the requirement at site. (The material and labour for fixing of the corrugated galvalume sheet will be measured under sl.no. 2). The measurement will be taken in RM along the width of Sheet.
4Labour charges for Profile forming of curved apron profiles pieces or curved panel pieces (separate piece) connecting to the vertical cladding and the inclined cladding from the corrugated profile galvalume sheet 0.50 mm (TCT) to form the crimp eaves. The profile shall be made as per the requirement at site. (The material and labour for fixing of the corrugated galvalume sheet will be measured under sl.no. 2). The measurement will be taken in RM along the width of Sheet.

6Supply and Fixing of 2.00mm thick corrugated poly carbonate sheet of approved colour.
7Supply & fixing of anodised aluminium frame for positioning of wired glass at North light Glass located at height of 13.0m to 15.0m including removal of old damaged glazing clips and fixing of new glazing clips for the position of wired glass.
8Taking out of old serviceable wired glass of any description from old metal frames any thickness or size hacking out old putty or removing beads etc including making good breakages in taking out and handling removing to store or stacking in ground for reuse of any description in existing metal frames glazed with putty/beads, oiling one coat on rebates, grooves, to match existing work by considering the dimension and height (13.00m-20.00m) approx including all necessary scaffolding and safety aspects complete as required at site. The rate includes carefully removing glass without damages and stacking in Ground. The contractor is responsible for safe removal of glass. Any damages to glass while removing/stacking is contractor responsibility, and the contractor should replace the same without any cost. the work shall be executed at a height exceeding 10 metres height from the average ground level but not exceeding 20 metres height.
9\\"Refixing\\" of 6.40mm glass of any description in existing metal frames glazed with putty/beads, oiling one coat on rebates, grooves, to match existing work by considering the dimension and height (13.00m-20.00m) approx including all necessary scaffolding and safety aspects complete as required at site. The rate includes refixing the glass in the same opening including screws etc., whatever required.(measured horizontally for any length of glass). The work shall be executed at a height exceeding 10 metres height from the average ground level but not exceeding 20 metres height.
10Supply and fixing Rough cast wired glass 6.4 mm thick and glazing with oil putty in square exc 0.50 and not exceeding 0.75 sqm as directed and as approved by considering the dimension and height (13.00 - 20.00 m approx) including refixing of the Aluminium beading as required at site including all necessary scaffolding and safety aspects complete as required at site. The work shall be executed at a height exceeding 10 metres height from the average ground level but not exceeding 20 metres height.
11Supply and fixing Rough cast wired glass 6.4 mm thick and glazing with oil putty in square not exceeding 0.50 sqm as directed and as approved by considering the dimension and height (13.00 - 20.00 m approx) including refixing of the Aluminium beading as required at site including all necessary scaffolding and safety aspects complete as required at site, the work shall be executed at a height exceeding 10 metres height from the average ground level but not exceeding 20 metres height.
12Dismantling / Taking down damaged GI Gutter, clamps for pipe etc., from position including clamps bolts, nuts etc., by cutting with gas cutter, and bringing down safely to the floor and disposing / handing over to CE Stores in storage location . The work shall be executed at a height exceeding 10meters height from the average ground level but not exceeding 20m height.
13S & F of 6mm thick galvanised mild steel in valley gutter (Mass of Zinc Coating shall be as per IS 4759-1996 Table 1 minimum value shall be 610 gram per square metre). The galvanised steel sheet shall be jointed with welding and shall be grinded to have a levelled surface. The stiffeners of 150 mm width shall be provided below every joint and the same shall also be welded on all sides to get a single joint without any holes/leakages. The gutter shall be welded and placed as per the site condition. the rates include provision of the galvanised steel spouts in the valley gutters by making circular holes in the valley gutter and full circular welding of the spouts to discharge the rainwater to the PVC down take pipes of dia 160 mm of suitable sizes of galvanised steel spouts to be made and fixed complete all as per specifications and instructions and as directed and completed all as per specifications and instructions . The GI Gutters should have cross sectional joints only and water should be stored in the newly laid gutter for 72 Hours for leakage test. The work shall be executed at a height exceeding 10meters height from the average ground level but not exceeding 20m height. The contractor should ensure all safety precaution required for the work shall be strictly followed including all necessary scaffolding and safety aspects complete as required at site. The contractor should also remove dust, dirt, fungus, dry leaves etc., accumulated in the gutter by means of gunny bags before dismantling/removing gutters and depositing to a distance not more than 1KM.
14Taking down eaves gutters and rainwater pipes (any size or pattern or any material), including all fittings, heads, shoes, bends, swan-necks, etc., fitted in MS straps/bands by loosening bolt, welding, grinding wherever required without damaging MS band/strap for re-use including cleaning or refixing or removal to Store (measured overall as fixed along the centre line over fittings and accessories) by considering the dimension and height (10.00m-20.00m) approx including all necessary scaffolding and safety aspects complete as required at site including handing over of rain water pipes to CE Stores, the work shall be executed at a height exceeding 10 metres height from the average ground level but not exceeding 20 metres height.
15S & F of PVC pipe of 160 mm dia to walls / roof / steel structure or (10Kg/cm2) in trenches including all fittings like clamps, bend, Tee, 'Y', elbow etc., with or without access door as directed including necessary PU sealant, bolts, nuts, washers and welding wherever required (measured overall as fixed along the centre line over fittings) and as approved by considering the dimensions & height (13.00m - 20.00m approx) including all necessary scaffolding and safety aspects complete as required at site. The rate includes provision of wall/floor opening/cutting and making good after laying the pipe line wherever required.
16Demolition of Reinforced Cement Concrete structure of any description.
17Material and labour for hard core using broken stone or boulder of gauge not exceeding 63 mm deposited, spread and levelled in layers not exceeding 15 cms thick watered and rammed to true surface.
18M & L for R.C.C A1 Type, 1: 1.5: 3 M20, 20mm graded aggregate in foundations, including rafts, footings, plinth beams and mass concrete.,
19Supply and Fixing of Hard drawn steel wire fabric not exceeding 4 Kg/SQM cut to lengths, bent to shape required and tying with and including mild steel wire (annealed) not less than 0.9mm in dia supplied and fixed in reinforcement
20S & F MS Bands, straps, supports or stays for rainwater, ventilating pipes, including Nuts, bolts, if required: clamps; hooks ; plain angle cleats for securing purlins to wood trusses or rafters; plate washers and similar small articles conforming to Fe-290 Gde-E-165including cutting and welding as directed and as approved by considering the dimensions & height (13.00m - 20.00m approx) including all necessary scaffolding and safety aspects complete as required at site. The work shall be executed at a height exceeding 10 metres height from the average ground level but not exceeding 20 metres height.
21S & F MS Angles, Channels, Roof trusses (framed), trussed, purlins, crane gantries, rails and fastenings and heavy bracket framing (Beam, tee, angle, channel or flat sections) including distance pieces, cleats etc. cut to shape, drilled and countersunk for screw, including bending and welding angles, as necessary, gusset plates, riveting, etc.. n exc 10 kg each brackets, conforming to \\"Fe.410.Gde-E-250 Quality-A\\" including cutting and welding as directed and as approved by considering the dimensions & height (13.00m - 20.00m approx) including all necessary scaffolding and safety aspects complete as required at site. The work shall be executed at a height exceeding 10 metres height from the average ground level but not exceeding 20 metres height.
22Supply of articulating hydraulic boom lift truck mounted type which can reach up to the height of 15 to 25 metres including necessary diesel for operating the articulated boom lift per day including a operator who will operate the articulated boom lift. The boom lift shall be used only for ensuring safety aspects at site like tying of net, tying of life line etc., boom lift timings shall be counted from start of the work in the day at site to completion of the work on that day.
23Felling of tree exc. 30 cm girth including cutting of trunk, and branches and stacking of serviceable material and disposal of unserviceable material to a distance n exc. 50 m and clearing site Girth of tree exc 30 cm and n exc 100 cm
24Labour for cleaning RCC Hume pipe of rain water drain pipe (200 RM - 250RM) for removing silt, dirt etc., by using mechanical equipments such as pressure water jet etc., including removal of manhole cover slab and refixing the same after completion of work all complete as directed
25Material and labour for painting surfaces of any description, over 10cm in width or girth, on structural steel surfaces like purlin trusses, open gantry girders and stanchions etc., with two coat of aluminium paint over one coat of aluminium oxide primer including preparation of new surfaces as specified and as directed .Protective measure (As per MES Part-I spec point 15.10.3) Surfaces of doors, windows, floors, articles of furniture, machineries etc., and such other parts of the building not to be treated shall be protected by using new taurpaulin sheets to avoid the paint drops , dust on the machines and shop floor from being splashed upon. Such surfaces shall be cleaned of splashes of white wash, colour wash, distemper, aluminium/synthetic enamel paint etc. The contractor shall be responsible for any damage to the fittings, fixture and furniture etc., The work shall be executed at a height exceeding 10 metres height from the average ground level but not exceeding 20 metres height. The paint to be used shall be of Asian paints, Berger paints, Nerolac paints or suitably equivalent make
26Less Credit for Dismantled ASBESTOS SHEETS, Bands, Barge board etc., The entire quantity of Dismantled AC sheets (Sl.No.1) will be taken for measurement hence the contractor is responsible for safe dismantling of AC sheets with out damaging them.
27Taking down carefully pipes/aluminium/ GI strips/gutters of any size, pattern or any material, including all fittings fitted in MS straps by loosening bolt, welding, grinding wherever required from the roof building without damaging roof building and handed it over to stores, the work shall be executed at a height exceeding 10 metres height from the average ground level but not exceeding 20 metres height.
28Supply of Lightning protection rod ESE Air Terminal , stainless steel body SS 304 suitable for corrosive environments, CPRI certified min.70kA (8/20S), average gain in triggering time: ≤.63 microseconds, complying with NFC17-102 Version 2011,i.e.,Code of practice for Lightning, protection radius 107 mtrs. Make: TERCEL/ ASHLOK or suitable equivalent make., Warranty: ≥ 1 year. Authorisation letter from OEM to be produced during installation.
29Supply of GI mast outer diameter ≥ 48mm dia, 5 mtr height with base plate and clamping & accessories(as per site condition) should be supplied by contractor.
30Supply of down conductor of 1x 70 sq.mm single core,multistrand, unarmoured flexible copper conductor cable from top of mast to earth station with test link. Make: Finolex/Polycab/Havells or suitable equivalent make
31Supply of Digital Lightening impulse counter/Transient Event Counter IP67 rating enclosure with mounting arrangements etc. as required. Make: TERCEL/ ASHLOK/ ALICE or suitable equivalent make . Warranty: ≥ 1 year.Authorisation letter from OEM to be produced during installation.
32Supply of maintenance free earth pits using CPRI tested advanced chemical earth rod made of copper tube of min. 2.5 inch dia, min.8 feet long,1.6mm thick installed vertically or horizontally as per the site condition complete with flanges, bends and top cover dully backfilled with earth enhancing compound of min. 20kgs ( conforms to IS:3043-1987 i.e,Code of practice for Earthing) along with heavy duty prefabricated concrete inspection chamber. Make: TERCEL/ASHLOK or suitably equivalent make Warranty: ≥ 1 year.
33INSTALLATION & COMMISSIONING : Labour charges for fixing of ESE Air terminal on the shop floor of apprx.12 mtrs height, fixing of GI mast with base plate by proper welding, fixing of down conductor cable from top of mast to earth station with test link,fixing of LCD counter and installation and commissioning of 2 Nos of maintenance free earth pits incudung excavation & refilling etc., as required. Accessories like stay wire, bolts, nuts, washers, PVC Pipes from top to bottom etc.,should be supplied by contractor.
