| 1 | M & L for repair to pot holes any depth n.exc 1.00 sqm each incl sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scoring sunken surface in roads, paths etc cutting around edges to at least 30mm in depth & making good by filling in screened and graded road metal, watering & well ramming including supply of road metal and applying tack coat at 5 kg per 10 sqm & M&L for premixed bituminous carpet 30mm thick (consolidated ) with 0.34cum of stone chipping mixed with 18.25 kg of binder and rolled & compacted to required camber and gradient & depth of pot holes exc 30mm. complete all as specified and directed. |
| 2 | M & L for preparing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc.complete all as specified and directed. |
| 3 | M & L for applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer at 5kg per 10 sq metre on bituminous surface using hot straight run bitumen of grade VG - 10, including heating the bitumen complete all as specified and directed. |
| 4 | M&L for providing and laying 75mm or less thickness (Consolidated thickness) premix bituminous macadam (design mix) with crushed and graded coarse stone aggregate filler (cement) and sand (fine aggregate) mixed with 4% binder content using paving bitumen by VG-30 grade by weight of total mix, mixing bituminous macadam in Hot mix plant and laid with mechanical paver complete & rolled to required camber and gradient by using 8 to 10 tonne power roller complete all as specified and directed.Note :- The design mix for BM shall be carried out by contractor from approved NABL Lab / Institute / Govt Engg College as directed and design charges thereof shall deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor. |
| 5 | M&L for providing and laying bituminous premix dense asphaltic concrete 40mm consolidated thickness with 6% binder content VG-30 conforming to IS: W-73:2006 paving bitumen content by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient by using 8 to 10 ton power roller complete all as specified and directed. Note:- (i) Mixing of DAC shall be carried out in hot mix plant. Laying of bituminous premix dense asphaltic concrete shall be done only by using authomatic type censor paver. (ii) The design mix for bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be carried out by contractor from approved NABL Lab / Institute / Govt Engg College as directed and design charges thereof shall deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor. |
| 6 | Providing and applying 2.5 mm thick road marking strips (retro- reflective) of specified shade/ colour using hot thermoplastic material by fully/ semi automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser, propane tank heater and profile shoe heater, driven by experienced operator on road surface including cost of material, labour, T&P, cleaning the road surface of all dirt, seals, oil, grease and foreign material etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge and accordance with applicable specifications. |
