| 1 | Excavation in soil in hilly area by mechnical means in all heights and depths, in all kinds of soil including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hard rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damage to hill side, water pollution etc. and to protect stability of hill side. Rock shall be excavated with chiselling and wedging out of rock (where blasting is prohibited) including cutting and trimming of side slopes and disposing of excavated earth lift upto all heights and all leads as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge, in conformity with the requirement of technical specification of rural roads clause 1603.1. Minimum quantity of useful material such as stones, shingles, aggregates and slates etc. i.e 97.44 cubic metre, shall be sorted out and stacked along the road side properly, otherwise recovery @ Rs. 300/- per cubic metre shall be effected from the bills of the contractor. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of execution shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases. |
| 2 | Earth work in excavation for structure in all depth as per drawing and technical specification Clause 305-1 including setting out, construction of shoring and bracin , removal of stumps and other deleterious material and disposal in all lead and lift including dressisng of sides and bottom and back filling in trenches with excavated suitable material . All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion damage to hill side water pollution etc. and to protect stability of hill side. Including carriage of materials through all modes of transportation with in all leads and lifts, as per PWD specifications and as per direction of Engineer- in Charge. |

| 6 | Providing weep holes in brick/ stone / plain reinforced concrete abutment, wing wall, return walls with 100 mm dia PVC pipe extending through the full width of the structure with slope of 1V : 20H towards drawing face complete as per drawing and technical specifications clauses 614, 709 and 1204.3.7 including carriage of material within all leads and lifts and other incidentals. including hauling of material in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge. |
