Adequate fall protection measures shall be implemented for working at heights exceeding 10 feet, including the use of guardrails, safety nets, or personal fall arrest systems. The contractor shall conduct regular safety inspections and provide necessary training to workers to ensure safe work practices are followed throughout the duration of the project. Upon achieving initial set—specifically when the slab supports the weight of an operator with no more than a 3 mm indentation—the surface must be mechanically finished using a power trowel; this process shall commence with a floating pass utilizing pans or float blades to embed aggregate and level the surface, followed by successive finishing passes with progressively increased blade pitch to seal the surface into a dense, smooth, and hard-wearing finish free of ripples or trowel marks. The scope includes the use of steel formwork with sturdy M.S. channel sections, appropriate curing, with all work executed to the satisfaction and direction of the Engineer-in-charge. |
