The core shall be designed such that the flux density an any part of the core does not exceed 16000 lines per sqcm i.e. 1.6 Tesla (T) at any tap position necessary to maintain No Load terminal voltage of 11 kV on LV side. Besides, the transformer shall be designed to withstand upto 10% upward variation of Primary Voltage at normal tap continuously without excessive heating of the core and windings. |
| 17 | Srl Item No 14 Continued......(XIV) WINDING: The winding shall be of electrolytic Grade copper and all material used for insulation of the windings shall be insoluble, non-catalytic and chemically inactive in the hot transformer oil and shall not soften under operating conditions. The windings shall be designed to minimise the out of balance forces in the transformer at all ratios. The assembled core and windings shall be vacuum dried and suitably impregnated. Besides the windings shall be designed to withstand short time rating for not less than 2 seconds by feeding the fault level of 1000 mVA on HV side and 750 mVA on 11 KV side respectively from both ends.(XV) INSULATING OIL: The transformer oil shall be uninhibited Type I as per IS 335: 2018.(XVI) ON LOAD Tap changer on HV side to vary secondary voltage from (+) 5% to (-) 10% (in minimum 12 steps @1.25% alongwith Remote tap changer control panel (RTCC) and Automatic voltage regulator relay (AVR). The OLTC shall conform to IS 8468/IEC 60214 (Part 1& 2). On-load tap changer driving gear Motor shall be of squirrel cage totally enclosed type. OLTC driving mechanism and its associated control equipment shall be mounted in an outdoor, weatherproof cabinet conforming to degree of enclosure protection IPW55. The tap changer shall be provided with over-current protection to prevent the tap-change operation during a short circuit. The Local OLTC Drive Mechanism Box shall house all necessary devices meant for OLTC control and indication. The diverter switch or arcing switch shall be designed to ensure that its operation once commenced shall be completed independently of the control relays or switches, failure of auxiliary supplies etc.(XVII) CONSERVATOR: Oil conservator tank shall be located well clear of the bare connection of the transformer terminals. The total volume of the conservator shall be min. 10% of the total quantity of oil in transformer. The inside diameter of the pipe connecting the conservator to the main tank shall be min. 50 mm and it should be projected into the conservator in such a way that its end is projected 30 mm above the bottom so as to create sump for collection of impurities. The conservator vessel shall be fitted with a breather assembly filled with silica gel.(XVIII) Accessories: The transformer shall be provided with the following accessories: |
| 18 | Srl Item No 14 Continued......(a) Marshalling box having IP -55 degree of protection and shall have following load disconnect switch for incoming power supply from auxiliaries, wiring and termination individually for Buchholz relay alarm for main tank, winding temp high alarm, oil temp high alarm, tank oil level low alarm, tap change incomplete alarm, wiring and termination individually of remote trip alarm, winding temp high trip, oil temp high trip, Buchholz relay trip or sudden gas and sudden oil pressure relay trip.(b) Pressure release valve (PRV) with trip contacts.(c) Air Release Valve of suitable capacity.(d) Magnetic type Oil Level gauge with low level alarm contact.(e) Conservator with oil filling hole with cap and drain plug and with built in diaphragm to avoid direct air contact with transformer oil & diaphragm rupture detection relay. Conservator tank shall be provided with two separate compartments (with partition barrier). One for main transformer tank and other for OLTC compartment.(f) Double float Reed type Buchholz Relay (gas operated) with shut off valves at both ends, complying with IS: 3637 , 50 mm, with two pairs of electrically separated contacts, one pair for alarm and other pair for tripping. The angle of inclination shall be 3 to 7 degree(g) Oil temperature indicator (01 No) for top oil temperature indication and having adjustable electrically independent ungrounded alarm and trip contacts. Range of temperature should be 0-150°C with accuracy of ±1.5% (or better) of full-scale deflection, and shall have contacts for remote indication of oil temperature.(h) Winding temperature indicator (WTI) for separately indicating the temperature of winding (HV and LV separately). The tripping contacts shall be adjustable to close between 60⁰C and 120⁰C, the alarm contacts to close between 50⁰C and 100⁰C and both shall reopen when the temperature has fallen between 5⁰C and 50⁰C. The contacts shall be adjustable and the accuracy class of the WTI shall be ±1.5% (or better)(i) Silica gel breather with silica gel(j) Air Release plug.(k) Lifting Lugs(l) Earthing terminals(m) Bi-directional Rollers- 4 Nos(n) Bottom drain -cum- filter valve.
