Heavy Duty Semi Elliptic Multi-Leaf Springs paired with Double-Acting Telescopic Shock Absorbers by way of supporting the frame on heavy duty jack stands, allowing rear rigid live axles to hang freely, inspect for broken main leaves, flattened camber height, worn rubber/bronze spring eye bushes, loose U-bolts, and leaking shock absorber seals. Unbolt the upper and lower mounting eye bolts of the double-acting telescopic shock absorbers, replace deteriorated mounting rubber grommets/bushings. The job includes overhaul of Leaf Springs by way of supporting the axle with a hydraulic jack before unbolting the U-bolts, remove the shackle pins, center bolts, and spring eye pins, dismantle individual leaves to clean rust and scale; replace cracked or sagging individual leaves, re-camber leaf packs, apply graphite grease between non parabolic leaves during reassembly to minimize inter-leaf friction and noise, install new bushes using a hydraulic bench press, clean shackle pins and grease channels; replace grooved or pitted pins, re mount leaf packs and align center bolts with the axle seats, install new U-bolts, reconnect anti roll/stabilizer bar link. mounts (if equipped) with new rubber bushes.
