| 3 | Excavation in foundation all type of soils, boulders including rock not requiring blasting including dewatering by manual or mechanical means etc. as per specifications with all contractor’s own machinery and equipments, crossing of tracks, shoring, strutting, timbering and buttressing with sand /clay bags and all such measures necessary to retain in position the sides of the foundation pit and including refilling the excavated material with watering, ramming, levelling the site and disposing off the surplus/unusable earth to outside railway premises on nominated dumping ground of Municipality as per directions of Engineer, including all leads & lifts, crossing of tracks, etc complete. Note: - 1. The rates are inclusive of all safety measures to be adopted for protection of structures in the vicinity of works.2. Payment shall be made only for design profile and no payment shall be given for any over cut.3.The excavation shall be done by any means to suite site conditions for protection of utility services such as cables, pipelines etc.4. Rates inclusive of disposing off the surplus/unusable earth to outside railway boundary with all leads & lifts as per directions of Engineer. |

| 10 | Providing 1.2 m high barbed wire fencing along the running track where the work is to be done in close vicinity of the track. The fencing shall be minimum 1.2m high with 1.8 m RCC concrete post placed ever 2 m apart embedded in cement concrete block (M-15) of size 0.3 x 0.3 x 0.6 m, provided with hooks etc., Every 15th post (or nearer if there is an abrupt change in ground slope), last but one end post, and corner post shall be strutted on both sides, and end post on one side only, with struts embedded in cement concrete (1:2:4) blocks of size 0.3 x 0.3 x 0.6m. The fencing shall be provided with 5 horizontal lines and two diagonals of G.I. barbed wire 9.38 kg/100m (min) between the two posts, fitted and fixed with G.I. staples driven into the posts. The fencing shall include two bands (red and white), 300mm long, painted with water-bound paints on the posts from the top. Two bands (100mm apart) of yellow luminous tape, 50mm in width, shall be pasted on the top white band. The rate includes the cost of all materials, including cement. After execution of all works requiring safety fencing in a particular stretch, the fencing shall be removed with the approval of the Engineer-in-charge, the formation shall be repaired to its profile, and the released materials will become the contractor's property. |

I) as per approved drawing including hoisting and setting in position with cement mortar 1:3 including centering, shuttering, curing and finishing with all lead and lift including crossing of tracks with all safety precautions for working close to track with contractors labour, materials, tools and plants etc complete to the specification & finish as directed by engineer in charge. |

(Minimum cement & flyash (Pozzolona) content per cum concrete shall be 300 kg & 50 Kg respectively & Maximum W/C ratio 0.45)Note:1. Rate is inclusive of Chloride free admixture such as super plasticizer.2. Form work shall be approved by Engineer- in -charge before use.3. The contractor shall install automatic batching plant of suitable capacity or use RMC for the concreting work, except for the location and components of work permitted by engineer’s in charge for use of mechanical mixer at site.
