During mixing and cooking,care shall be taken to ensure that contents in the cooker are at no time heated to a temparature excedding 210 C bitumen mastic after spreading and while still hot and in plastic condition shall be spread over with bitumen precoated fine grained hard stonechips/coarse aggregate of approved quality of 2.36mm to 13.2mm size,fine aggregate 0.075 mm to 2.36 mm size and filler shall be limestone powder content of not less than 80 percentage by weight determined in accordence with IS: 1514 and pressed into the surface when the temparature of bitumen mastic in between 80 C and 100 C such precoated aggragetes when laid should protrude 3mm to 4mm over the mastic surface of approved quality of 9.5mm to 13.20mm size @0.005m /10Sqm and rolled all as specified and directed. |
