| 14 | Material and labour for fabricating, supplying, transporting and fixing in position a Three-Compartment Commercial Stainless Steel Sink Unit without drainboard of overall size 3200 mm × 750 mm × 900 mm, comprising three integrally fabricated bowls each of size 1000 mm × 700 mm × 600 mm deep, complete with 150 mm high integral rear backsplash extending along the full length of the unit. The complete sink unit shall be fabricated from AISI 304 grade non-magnetic stainless steel, using 1.98 mm thick (14 gauge) stainless steel sheet for bowls, top and backsplash, and supported on a rigid framework fabricated from 50 mm × 50 mm stainless steel square tubes of minimum 1.6 mm thickness (16 gauge) or equivalent approved tubular sections. The framework shall include horizontal cross-bracing/tie bars between all legs and continuous channel/tubular members directly beneath the bottom of each bowl to transfer the full operational load of the bowls directly to the supporting legs. The bowls shall be integrally formed with coved (radiused) hygienic internal corners, free from pits, burrs, sharp edges, cracks, dents and surface discoloration. Each bowl shall be provided with one heavy-duty removable stainless steel strainer, stainless steel waste coupling complete with suitable threaded union/socket for connection of the drain valve. The supporting legs shall be fitted with heavy-duty adjustable stainless steel bullet feet for levelling on uneven floors. The item shall include all labour, stainless steel materials, cutting, shearing, bending, hydraulic press forming, curving, notching, drilling, punching, shaping, TIG/MIG welding using compatible AISI 304 filler rods, grinding, dressing of welds, polishing, buffing, fabrication, shop assembly, transportation, handling, lifting and fixing in position complete with stainless steel nuts, bolts, screws, washers, dash fasteners, anchor fasteners and all other necessary stainless steel fittings and accessories. All exposed stainless steel surfaces shall be finished in No. 4 Satin Finish (or Mirror Finish), complete in all respects, all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.Notes:- (i) Measurement for payment shall be made in kilograms (kg) based on the actual weight of the stainless steel work fabricated and fixed in position. (ii) The weight of the complete fabricated sink unit, including bowls, top, backsplash, supporting frame, legs, cross-bracing members, continuous supporting members beneath the bowls, stainless steel strainers, waste couplings, threaded unions/sockets, adjustable stainless steel bullet feet, stainless steel nuts, bolts, screws, washers, dash fasteners, anchor fasteners and all other stainless steel fittings and accessories forming part of the unit, shall be determined before installation at an approved weighbridge or by any other method approved by the Engineer-in-Charge in his presence or in the presence of his authorised representative.(iii) Drain valves (gate valves), traps, waste pipes, soil pipes, floor drain connections and plumbing fittings beyond the waste coupling and threaded union/socket shall be measured and paid for separately under the respective BOQ items. (iv) The overall dimensions, bowl dimensions, configuration, member gauges/thicknesses, framework arrangement and other fabrication details may be varied by the Engineer-in-Charge to suit site requirements or as per approved shop drawings, provided that such variations do not impair the specified functional capacity, structural stability, durability or quality of the sink unit. No extra payment or claim whatsoever shall be admissible on account of such variations. |
| 15 | Supply and fixing 1.20 mm thick (18 Gauge) Stainless Steel Grade 304 sheet lining over existing RCC cookhouse shelves/countertops, suitable for catering/food-grade application, non-magnetic, including precision shop-bending for a front drip-nose lip and a rear wall splashback up to 75 mm height. The existing RCC countertop shall be thoroughly chipped or ground to remove all old mortar, grease, dirt and other contaminants, followed by application of a uniform layer of heat- and moisture-resistant epoxy/PU mastic and SS sheet shall be accurately laid and firmly secured using concealed SS anchors/fasteners to prevent drumming, buckling or warping. The All seams and corner joints shall be TIG/MIG welded using compatible AISI 304 filler rods, followed by grinding, dressing, polishing and buffing of welds to achieve a smooth, hygienic hairline finish, including a continuous bead of high-grade anti-fungal silicone sealant shall be provided at the junction of the splashback and masonry wall to prevent moisture ingress and bacterial/mould growth, complete in all respects, all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 16 | Note for all items of BOQ : (i) The quoted unit rate shall be deemed to include the cost of all labour, materials, tools and plant, and all incidental expenses necessary for carrying out minor dismantling, taking out existing fittings, minor modifications to the existing inlet and outlet connections, cutting, chasing, drilling, making good, and all other incidental works not specifically covered under the BOQ but essential for the satisfactory completion and proper functioning of the installation, all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
