| 2 | Providing and applying 20 mm thick traditional lime plaster in three coats over prepared masonry/structural surfaces, using matured fat lime putty, sand, surkhi, and marble dust, incorporating traditional organic admixtures, complete in all respects as per conservation specifications. First Coat (Scratch/Base Coat): Applying 10 mm thick base coat in lime mortar of proportion 1:1.5:1.5 (lime : sand : surkhi) using coarse sand, well compacted and finished rough with suitable scratching to provide a mechanical key for the subsequent coat.Second Coat (Brown/Intermediate Coat): Applying 8 mm thick intermediate coat in lime mortar of proportion 1:2:1 (lime : sand : surkhi), properly levelled and finished to receive the final coat.Third Coat (Finish Coat): Applying 2–5 mm thick finishing coat in lime mortar of proportion 1:1 (lime : marble dust) using fine materials, finished to a smooth and even surface as specified. The lime mortar shall be prepared using traditional organic admixtures, including: Jaggery (gur) Bael fruit pulp Fenugreek (methi) Natural fibres (jute/coconut) Pulses (where specified). These shall be incorporated in appropriate proportions to enhance workability, cohesion, crack resistance, and durability, as per traditional conservation practices.All materials, labour (including skilled heritage masons), mixing, application, curing, complete scaffolding, tools and plants (T&P), and all incidental works necessary to complete the plastering work.and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge(Lime shall be properly slaked and matured (lime putty) prior to use Each coat shall be applied with adequate curing and surface preparation before application of the next coat Surfaces shall be cleaned, wetted, and properly keyed, final surface shall be true to line, level, and plumb. |
| 3 | Carefully dismantling only the damaged portions of the existing stone jali of heritage structure without disturbing adjoining original masonry; cleaning and preserving reusable stone members; providing matching locally available basalt stone of approved quality; hand carving the missing perforated portions to match the original design, size, thickness and profile; fixing with lime mortar (1 part matured lime putty : 2 parts screened fine sand) compatible with original masonry; providing 8 mm dia Grade 304 stainless steel dowels fixed with approved non-shrink mineral grout wherever necessary; filling minor cracks with lime grout; finishing joints with matching lime pointing; curing, cleaning, removal of debris and scaffolding complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 4 | Carefully lifting and removing existing dressed stone cover slabs of covered heritage drain manually without causing any damage to the original stone slabs or adjoining masonry, stacking the slabs safely, cleaning the drain by removing accumulated silt, sludge, vegetation, roots, rubbish and all deposited materials manually, cleaning the bed and side walls of the drain and inlet/outlet openings, cleaning the connected soak pit by removing accumulated silt and debris manually, disposing of excavated material up to 50 m lead at an approved location, washing the drain with clean water wherever required, and thereafter replacing the original stone cover slabs in their respective positions, including necessary alignment, resetting in lime mortar ( 1 Lime :1 Sand:1 Surkhi) wherever disturbed, pointing the joints with matching lime mortar, complete in all respects as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. | 5 | Cleaning the sand stone surface and removing dirt, dust, bird dropping, grease, oil, algae, fungus, monkey beats, vegetable growth etc., including providing, applying and washing the surface with liquid Ammonia Chemical of 5% solution and other chemical cleaning agent as approved by Archaeological Survey of India/ Engineer-in-charge, of approved brand and manufacturer, with the help of required scrubbers and also cleaning with machine operated water jet mixed with desired quantity of fine silica where ever required, without causing any scratching/ damage to the stone surface and finally washing the surface with clean water with the help of pressure jet machine, complete in all respect, including taking all precautions to safeguard ventilators, windows, doors etc. by suitable covering so as to avoid any damage to the building/structure, all as per direction of Engineer-in-charge (The rate is inclusive of all materials & labours involved except scaffolding) |

| 9 | Providing and fixing premium Heritage Sandstone Direction Board of approved design and dimensions, comprising 30 mm thick fine-grained natural buff sandstone panel of size approximately 900 mm × 600 mm, accurately machine cut and hand finished with a honed (matte) face, 20–25 mm wide mirror-polished raised border, hand-carved recessed heritage motifs inspired by the architectural vocabulary of the monument, chamfered edges, and deep engraved bilingual (Hindi & English) directional text, arrows, pictograms and Archaeological Survey of India emblem (8–12 mm deep), filled with weather-resistant black/brown mineral pigment to achieve permanent visual contrast and improved legibility. The stone panel shall be securely fixed between two decorative sandstone piers of approved fine-grained buff/red sandstone, each approximately 150 mm × 150 mm section and 1500 mm high, incorporating moulded base, carved capital and decorative heritage detailing, complete with concealed SS-304 dowels, brackets, clamps, nuts, bolts, neoprene packing and structural epoxy adhesive. All exposed stone surfaces shall be hand dressed and finished true to line and level. Each sandstone pier shall be rigidly connected at its base to a 200 × 200 × 10 mm hot-dip galvanised mild steel base plate through concealed stainless steel dowels embedded in the stone with approved epoxy resin. The base plates shall be fixed to the existing stone pavement, concrete flooring or masonry surface using four Nos. M16 × 150 mm stainless steel chemical anchor bolts per base plate with approved injectable epoxy anchoring system, ensuring a completely stable, reversible and non-intrusive fixing arrangement suitable for protected monuments. The base plates shall be concealed by a matching carved sandstone plinth cover to maintain the heritage appearance without exposing any metal components. The work shall include selection of stone,cutting, carving, polishing, honing, engraving, pigment filling, fabrication and galvanising of base plates, supply and installation of stainless steel fixings, drilling, chemical anchoring, lifting, transportation, erection, alignment, cleaning, application of breathable stone protective treatment, all labour, tools and plants, scaffolding, wastage and all incidental charges complete in all respects, in accordance with ASI conservation principles and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge Please Enable Macros to View BoQ information |
