Name of Work:- Maintenance of Lawns in Visweswaraya and Thiagaraja sector at Anupuram Township during the year 2026 - 2027.
Sl. No. Item Description
1Maintenance of lawns, flower beds, hedges, trees in garden area by watering at regular intervals, cutting and trimming the unwanted growth of grasses as required including running lawn mover, removing weeds, collecting the cut grass, cleaning and sweeping of lawn area, fallen leaves of trees and disposing the same at dumping yards as shown by the department, watering the trees both inside & outside the garden area complete all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in- charge.Note: 1) The rate shall include the cost of hire charges of lorry and labour for transporting of cut grass, leaves etc., to the dumping yard.2) The rate shall also includes cost of all tools, plants, water delivery hose required for gardening and measures to be taken to prevent the entry of goats, cattles, etc.,3) The rate quoted shall be per Sq.m area maintained per month.4) Contractor has to make his own arrangements for lawn movers. If departmental lawn mover is available it will be provided by department on chargeable basis.5) If lawn mover is not used, then recovery at the rate of 30 paise/Sq.m per month will be charged as penalty from each RA Bill.6) For every 1800 Sq.m. of lawn area, contractor should engage minimum 1 Labour for regular maintenance.7) The area to be maintained per month is 23200 Sq.m. As such, total area to be maintained under this contract is 12 Months x 23200 Sq.m = 278400 Sq.m.8) The AECS school lawn area to be maintained per month is 2700 Sq.m. As such, total area to be maintained under this contract is 10 Months x 2700 Sq.m = 27000 Sq.m.
2Maintenance of Nursery including watering the plants, mixing garden earth manure, filling pits, preparing potted plants sowing seeds, interculturing propagating seedling and new saplings in polythene bags, transferring it to potted plants later, removing weeds, trimmings including disposing of unwanted vegetations etc., transporting cut wild grass etc., in contractor's own arranged lorries to dumping yard and disposing them as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.Note: 1) The rate quoted shall be per Sq.m area maintained per month.2) The rate quoted shall include the cost of hire charges of lorry and labour for loading, unloading, transporting of cut wild grass to dumping yard and disposal.3) The rate quoted shall also include the cost of all tools, plants, water delivery hose required for gardening.4) The cost of poly bags, flower pots will be paid for seperately under relevant item.5) The area to be maintained per month is 2600 Sq.m. As such, total area to be maintained under this contract is 12 Months x 2600 Sq.m = 31200 Sq.m.6) For every 850 Sq.m. of Nursery area, contractor should engage minimum one Labour per day for regular maintenance.
3Collection, Supplying and stacking of good quality Red earth without stones, gravel, etc., and stacking for premeasurements at places as shown by Engineer for taking premeasurements including spreading the same at places shown with a lead upto 100 metres and filling in pits etc.,complete all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
4Collection, supplying and stacking of decomposed dry farmyard manure without undesirable materials, stacking the same at places shown by Engineer for taking pre measurements including spreading the same at places shown with a lead upto 100 metres and filling in pits etc., complete all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
5Collection, stacking and spreading of dry leaves manure (collected from dry leaves processing yard) without undesirable materials, stacking the same at places shown by Engineer for taking pre measurements including spreading the same at palces shown with a lead upto 2 km and filling pits etc., allcomplete as per specification and as directed by the Engineer - In - Charge.
6Supplying and spraying of approved weedicide of make Glyphosate, Glufosinate, Paraquat or other approved equivalent make, using power sprayer for effective control and prevention of weeds in garden areas, including the cost of weedicide, labour, power sprayer, water, mixing, spraying and all other incidental charges, etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.Note:- 1) Every time spraying area shall be measured for payment.2) The contractor shall spray weedicide on paver area once in two months.
7Development of lawn area, wherever damaged etc., to ensure better continuity of the landscape feature, including digging and levelling the surface of the earth upto 150mm including area cleaning, collection, supply and planting of below mentioned grass of good quality including conveyance, cost of below mentioned grass etc., complete all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

10Supplying and planting of following Ornamental plants of good quality & healthy appearance with blooming nature with 1 - 3 ft height etc., including earth work excavation, spreading & filling of red earth, farm yard manure to an average thickness of 50mm and transporting the plants to site, making pits, initial watering, weeding etc., all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.(Note: Cost of Red earth and manure will be paid for separately under relevant items.)

15Supplying and planting of following plants/saplings of good quality & healthy appearance with blooming nature etc., including excavation, transportation, planting, refilling with suitable excavated soil mixed with red earth, manure or sludge as directed (cost of red earth, manure or sludge to be paid separately under relevant item) and initial watering all as per standard practice complete and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. The plants having 60cm to 120cm height (unless otherwise mentioned below), well developed, fresh and healthy nature.

18Supplying and spraying of approved quality plant protection chemicals based on Neem oil formulations and other approved equivalent chemicals, for effective control and prevention of pests, insects and diseases in plants, trees, lawns and garden areas, as and when required during the entire contract period, including the cost of chemicals, labour, sprayer/equipment, water, mixing, application and all other incidental charges, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
19Supplying and applying of approved quality rooting hormone powder/root growth stimulant of make Seradix, Hormex, Rootex or other approved equivalent, as and when required during the entire contract period, including the cost of rooting hormone, labour, sprayer/application equipment, water, mixing, application and all other incidental charges, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
20Supplying and applying approved-quality biological soil drenching fungicide of make Sanjeevani, Katyani, Nirog, EBS or other approved equivalent make, as and when required during the entire contract period, including the cost of biological fungicide, labour, sprayer/application equipment, water, mixing, application and all other incidental charges, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
21Providing black coloured Poly bags [LDPE of 300-400gsm] of size 175 mm length with 100 mm dia and 230mm length with 120mm dia. or other required size for nursary as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
22Providing well burnt Earthen flower pots of dia. 10\\" @ top and 5.5\\" @ bottom and 10\\" height including conveyance, loading & unloading, stacking at the nursery, etc., all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
23Transporting and arranging the flower pots for Departmental function / office decoration including loading and unloading of flower pots by mechanical means arranging as directed, returning the flower pots by mechanical means to nursery, etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
24Maintenance of hedge plants including adequate watering by mechanical means like tractor with tanker/ lorry tanker and removal of weeds, trimming of hedges to the required shape and disposal of cut hedges etc., to the dumping yard as directed by the Engineer in charge.Note:- The area to be maintained per month is 1300Sq.m. As such total area to be maintained under this contract is 12 Months X 1300 Sq.m= 15600 Sq.m
25Maintenance of hedge plants including adequate watering by using garden water supply network for watering and removal of weeds, trimming of hedges to the required shape and disposal of cut hedges etc., to the dumping yard as directed by the Engineer in charge.Note:- The area to be maintained per month is 500 Sq.m. As such total area to be maintained under this contract is 12 Months X 500 Sq.m= 6000 Sq.m
26Maintenance of trees by regular watering, weeding and forming basins around the trees, make a temporary fencing for young trees as and when required, etc., all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.Note:-1) The rate shall include cost of all tools & plants, water delivery hose required for gardening. 2) The rate quoted shall be per No. tree maintained per month. 3) If tree gets dried/dead the same will be replaced by contractor at his own cost. 4) Contractor shall arrange mechanical means for watering the trees. Wherever treated effluent water is not available. 5) For every 500 trees, the contractor shall engage minimum one man day for maintenance. 6) The rate quoted shall be per number maintained per month. Trees to be maintained per month is 425 Nos. As such the to trees to be maintained under the contract for 12 months is 5100 Nos. 7) Measures to be taken to prevent the entry of goats, cattle etc., by engaging suitable manpower.
27Maintenance of Vertical Garden, plant, drip irrigation system, MS Frame and changing of dried plants etc., and replacing the pots with well grown healthy ones transported from nursery and maintaining the same in garden area by watering at regular intervals, cutting and trimming plants, and the unwanted growth of grasses as and when required including removing weeds, collecting the cut plants fallen leaves of trees and disposing the same at dumping yards shown by the department, watering the plants inside the garden area etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.Note:- The rate quoted shall be per Sq.m maintained per month. The area to be maintained per month is 25 Sq.m. 28 GENERAL INFORMATION FOR GUIDANCE OF TENDERERS
29The schedule of quantities is to be read for the purpose of pricing in conjunction with the special conditions, general rules for the guidance of contractors, conditions of contract, specifications, drawings, schedule of supply of materials and the appendices.
30The prices inserted in the schedule of quantities shall be inclusive of value of the work described including all cost and expenses, which may be required in and for the construction of the work described together with the general risks, liabilities and obligations not forth or implied in the documents on which the tender is to be based.
31The quantities stated are to be considered approximate only and the unit prices entered in the schedule of quantities and prices shall apply only to the actual quantities measured in the completed work in accordance with the specifications.
32All the materials other than those shown in schedule of supply of materials in section VII are to be arranged by the contractor and his rates should account for the same.
33Rates quoted for all items in this tender shall include cost of all materials including cement and steel. Department will not supply any materials other than materials stipulated in Section - VII of the tender and as such the rates quoted must be all inclusive.
