| 10 | Providing and fixing in repair retro-reflectorized cautionary, mandatory, and informatory road signs as per IRC:67, made of encapsulated lens-type reflective sheeting (vide Clause 801.3 of MoRTH Specifications). The reflective sheeting shall be fixed over an aluminium sheeting, 1.5 mm thick. The sign board shall be supported on a single mild steel angle iron post of size 75 mm x 75 mm x 6 mm with a total vertical post height of 3.20 metres (comprising 2.0 metres clear height above ground level up to the bottom edge of the sign face, 0.6 metres across the sign face, and 0.6 metres embedded below ground level) as per standard MoRTH installation guidelines. The vertical MS post shall be treated with an anti-corrosive system consisting of one coat of epoxy zinc-phosphate primer followed by two coats of two-pack premium aliphatic polyurethane/epoxy finish paint of approved shade over a thoroughly prepared steel surface. The post shall be firmly fixed to the ground by means of a properly designed foundation using M15 grade cement concrete of size 45 cm x 45 cm x 60 cm, placed 60 cm below ground level as per the approved drawing. The rate shall include all materials, fabrication, labor, tools, equipment, transport, surface preparation (wire brushing/cleaning), application of the epoxy paint system, earthwork excavation, refilling, and clearing of the site, complete as per Technical Specification Clause 801, standard drawings, and the direction of the Engineer-in-Charge |

The reflective sheeting shall be fixed over an aluminium sheeting, 2.0 mm thick, having a surface area exceeding 0.90 square metres. The sign board panel shall be structurally supported on two numbers (2 Nos.) of mild steel angle iron posts, each of size 75 mm x 75 mm x 6 mm, with a total vertical post height of 3.20 metres (providing a minimum 2.0 metres clearance from ground level to the lower edge of the signboard pane). Both posts shall be treated with an anti-corrosive system consisting of one coat of epoxy zinc-phosphate primer followed by two coats of two-pack premium aliphatic polyurethane/epoxy finish paint of approved shade. Both posts shall be firmly fixed to the ground by means of properly designed isolated foundations, each using M15 grade cement concrete of size 45 cm x 45 cm x 60 cm, placed 60 cm below ground level as per standard MoRTH drawing profiles. The rate shall include the cost of all materials, fabrication, structural stiffeners/channels at the back of the panel, surface preparation (such as wire brushing or sandblasting), application of the epoxy paint system, labor, transport, machinery, earthwork excavation, concreting, backfilling, and clearing of the site, complete as per Technical Specification Clause 801, approved structural drawings, and directions of the Engineer-in-Charge |

The barrier system shall comprise a 3.0 mm thick cold-rolled corrugated sheet metal W-beam rail (having a profile width of 311 mm and corrugation depth of 83 mm), with an effective section length of 4.0 metres (total length 4.318 m). The rail profile shall be fixed at a height of 70 cm above the finished road/ground level onto ISMC series channel vertical posts of size 150 mm x 75 mm x 5 mm, spaced strictly at 2.0 metres centre-to-centre. A spacer channel of matching section (150 mm x 75 mm x 5 mm, 330 mm long) shall be provided between the post and the W-beam. The total height of the vertical post shall be 1.80 metres, with a minimum embedment depth of 1.10 metres below ground level, firmly driven or cast into the ground as per approved structural drawings. All steel structural components, including rails, posts, and spacers, shall be hot-dip galvanized after fabrication with a uniform zinc coating mass of minimum 550 g/m² as per IS:2629 and IS:4759. All hardware, fasteners, and dome-headed bolts shall conform to IS:1367 and IS:1364 (Grade 4.6/8.8). The item rate shall include the cost of all materials, fabrication, galvanizing, transportation, equipment/machinery for post-driving or excavation, concrete for post-anchoring (where applicable), installation of end-terminal sections, retro-reflective delineators/tapes, labor, and site clearance, complete as per standard MoRTH drawings and directions of the Engineer-in-Charge. |
