| 18 | (i) Tank shall be emptied of water by pumping & bottom shall be cleaned of slit and other deposits.(ii) Entire surface area of the sump shall then scrubbed thoroughly with wire brush etc. and pressure washed with water.(iii) Chlorination of RCC internal surface by liquidchlorine.(iv) The treated surface shall be dried using air jetting and all loose particles shall be removal from the surface.(v) Finally the surface shall be treated with ultraviolet radiation etc. as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 19 | Chipping of unsound/weak concrete material from slabs, beams, columns etc. with manual Chisel and/ or by standard power driven percussion type or of approved make including tapering of all edges, making square shoulders of cavities including cleaning the exposed concrete surface and reinforcement with wire brushes etc. and disposal of debris for all lead and lifts all complete as per direction of Engineer-In-Charge. |

(Sufficient propping and strutting of barak bamboo at least 80 mm dia and platform at bracing levels and round the cylindrical portion may be of muli-bamboo, exposed vertical sides of the platform may be covered by the nylon or jute net to avert the occurrence of workers fall during work.
