| 46 | a) Shut down power to the transformer and ground all of the metal equipment that will be involved in changing the transformer oil. However all safety precautions as per OEM recommendations must be followed. |

| 48 | c) Check for leaks the next morning. If no leaks are detected, energize the unit with out a load. Let it sit energized for at least three hours and then add the load. Recheck the unit the next day looking for leaks, pressure and temperature deviations. |

| 50 | M&L for Filteration/Dehydration the existing transformer oil of Distribution Transformer (11/ 0.4KV)/Power Transformer(33/11 KV) through filter centrifuges as per IS 1966: 2000, Para 13 complete all as specified and directed before carrying out dehydration of Transformer Oil. Note: After reconditioning the Transformer oil the contractors should submit test reports of minimum one nos of sample from any GOVT recognised lab of following parameters a) Break Down Voltage, b) Flash Point, c) Interfacial Tension, d) Precipitable Sludge, e) Sediments and sludge, f) Water Content, g) Neutralization Value (Total Acidity), h) Resistivity and j) Di-electric Dissipation Factor (Tan Delta) ii) Any other works reqd for replacement of transformer oil is deemed to be included in this rate. |

| 52 | b) Test the transformer insulation & if everything is normal as per OEM recommendations then energize the unit without load and after that add the load. |
| 53 | c) Replace the transformer drain plug and refill the unit with fire retardant oil, wait four to five hours and then re-test the transformer insulation and after the second insulation test, allow the unit to sit overnight. |
| 54 | d) If any type of leaks of transformer detected, rectify the defects. |
| 55 | e)After Filteration/Dehydration, dielectric strength of each Transformer to be checked with air gap of 2.5 mm and the result shall be more than 45 KV and test report for each transformer to be submitted. |
