| 1 | The LT panel must be isolated from the power supply before commencement of the servicing work. Proper safety procedures should be followed to ensure the safety of personnel and prevent accidental energization. |
| 2 | Racking out and drawing out of ACB from LT panel after tripping the ACB manually and keeping the ACB in a workable position inside the room. |
| 3 | Open out the ACB cover carefully and complete dismantling of all the parts like roller guide, main drive shaft, S.S pin, silt spring, rechet assembly, trip bridge assembly, male & female contact etc, by the proper tools and tackles engaging expert personel and keep in a suitable position at the pumping station. |
| 4 | Cleaning of all contact points, arc chutes, insulation barriers, and moving parts should be done thoroughly using appropriate CRC spray or contact cleaner. Dust, carbon particles, and accumulated grime must be removed to restoredielectric integrity. |
| 5 | Checking & Tightening of all mechanical parts including operating linkages, tripping mechanisms, and latches should be done for free movement, alignment, and wear. Any loose fittings must be tightened, and worn parts should be replaced with new one. |
| 6 | Lubrication of all moving components and mechanical linkages should be done with dielectric grease or other manufacturer-recommended lubricants. Care must be taken to avoid over-lubrication or contamination of contact surfaces. |
| 7 | Removal of carbon deposits, moisture, and dust from the busbar and support insulators using CTC (Carbon Tetrachloride) / Petrol and lint-free cleaning agents. Application of high-grade insulating varnish and re-insulation using heat-shrinkable PVC sleeves or specialized insulating tape (as per requirement). |
| 8 | Replacement of the worn-out parts such as springs, auxiliary switches, interlocks, contact fingers, or arc runners as required must be done with new components . |
| 9 | Reassembly of the ACB should be made properly and mounted back into the panel board. All terminals must be reconnected, and the unit should be aligned and fixed securely to its original position. |
| 10 | Testing of Insulation Resistance (IR) must be performed using a megger (500V or 1000V). Resistance between phases and phase-to-earth should be measured including Contact Resistance (mV drop) test and recorded. |
| 11 | Functional testing of the ACB should be carried out to ensure proper closing, tripping, manual operation, spring charging, and indication features. After successful testing, the ACB may be commissioned and put back into service under supervision of the EIC. |
| 12 | Testing and setting of the ACB's trip unit through the relay should be perfomed using a secondary injection test kit.
