| 27 | Shifting of existing Fire Alarm Control Panels from different locations of GMCH, Jammu viz Emergency wing and other wards to the Fire Officer Room/Security Incharge Room/ Main Control Room of GMCH Jammu. Job includes the cable required for shifting and commissioning of the complete system. The job includes complete dismantling of the panel, safe disconnection of power supply and loops, and careful relocation without causing any damage to system components. The scope further includes extension of fire-resistant cables, re-termination of all circuits, and proper mounting of the panel at the new site. After relocation, the entire fire alarm system shall be reprogrammed, including configuration of all devices, zones, address loops, logic sequences, sounder circuits, and interface modules, ensuring integration with existing infrastructure. The job includes complete testing and commissioning including device-wise loop testing, simulation of fire and fault conditions, and full functionality checks. The technician ensures that each device communicates properly with the panel, clears any loop faults, adjusts sensitivity levels where applicable, and restores all event logs and system parameters. Reprogramming of the Fire Alarm Control Panel and all connected devices must be done as per OEM guidelines, using authorised configuration software/tools, including updating of addresses, zones, loop mapping and cause-and-effect logic. After completing the reprogramming, the entire fire alarm system is tested device-wise to confirm proper operation, communication, and alarm response. CAMC of smoke/heat detectors also include monthly cleaning of all the detectors for any dusty/carbon particles. The job includes conducting a monthly fire system drill to test the functionality of pumps, hydrants, alarms, and evacuation procedures. The drill covers activation of the fire alarm, operation of fire pumps and hydrantsand safe evacuation of occupants. Observations shall be recorded, deficiencies noted, and a report submitted with corrective recommendations to ensure the system and personnel remain fully prepared. The scope of work covers routine preventive maintenance, quarterly/half-yearly inspections, functional testing, calibration, cleaning, lubrication of moving components, minor repairs, replacement of worn-out or defective parts (including pump bearings, mechanical seals, gaskets, valves, sensors, relays, and detector modules), checking and maintaining pressure in jockey pump systems, and ensuring all pumps deliver the designed flow and head. For the fire alarm system, the scope includes checking panel programming, inspecting wiring and terminations, testing detectors and alarm devices, replacing batteries, fuses, and faulty modules, functional verification of all zones, and system reset/commissioning after maintenance. The contractor shall maintain detailed logbooks of all activities, prepare and submit inspection and maintenance reports, and provide emergency support as required. The CAMC shall include careful removal of dust, dirt, debris, and corrosion from the smoke detectors as per requirement, testing of pumps under load conditions, verification of pressure switches, control panel functionality, operation of NRVs/PRVs, and coordination with the authority having jurisdiction for statutory compliance. All labour, skilled and semi-skilled technicians, tools, tackles, consumables, replacement spares (excluding major pumps or panels unless specified), transportation, and applicable taxes are included to ensure that the fire protection and alarm systems remain fully operational and compliant throughout the contract period. |
