| 1 | M&L for preparation of old roof surface by removal of any type of existing roof treatment APP , tar felt, bitumen etc.) in any number of layer up to original RCC roof top slab surface,uprooting of grass , roots etc, remaining bituminous content if any to be cleaned with steel wire brush and other necessary tools, disposal debris outside the defence land, complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge and washing down the slab with water to remove dust .Then surface shall be primered with Smart care two component, high solid, epoxy resin based floor primer to seal the pores and enhance the adhesion of coating supply and applying single component water proofing liquid membrane based on pure elastomeric polyurethane resin smartcare , cold applied of spray / brush applied , membrane with an elongation of ≥ 550±50% and tensile strength of 2.5-3 Mpa as per ASTM D412 , crack bridging ability of 3mm as per ASTM C1305 , no leakage upto 5 bars of water pressure as per DIN 1048 , shore A hardness > 50 shore as per ASTM D 2240 . The entire PU membrane shall be covered with 150GSM geotextile fabric with proper overlaps of 75mm before application of Brick tiles all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge. |
| 2 | Note:-(a)Ponding test shall be done after application of material and the cost is deemed to be inclusive. In case oif any leakage/failure the complete area of roof be treated again without any extra cost.(b) Appliaction of water proofing treatment will be done by Authorised Applicator only as per MOU between tenderer and manufacturer of PU liquid water proofing membrane and their authorized appliactor complete all as specified and directed.(c) The contractor shall submit MOU between tenderer and manufacturer of PU liquid water proofing membrane and their authorized applicator at the time of sample approval and get approval from the Engr-in-Charge before the commencement of work .Make : Asain Paints/ Berger paints/Sika/BASF/Pididlite/Dr. Fixit as per appendix attached .The Make shall be of same manufacturer of which the MOU signed and submitted by contractor. No change of make/ manufacturer other than MOU shall be allowed without the prior approval of Accepting officer. |
