4Providing and laying in position of plain cement concrete using hard granite broken stone for all insitu levelling courses in foundations, floor, roof screeding, encasing pipes, etc., including mechanical mixing, ramming, compaction, levelling, curing, dewatering, if any including the cost of formwork etc., all complete as per specifications.

7Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the exterior side at all height made using 40mm diameter M.S. tube spaced @ 1.5m center to center at both horizontal and vertical joining with cup and lock system with M.S.tube, M.S.tube challies, M.S clamps and M.S staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc., including maintaining it in a serviceable condition for the required duration as approved, removing after completion of repair works, the scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners connection with the building, etc., wherever required for essential safety features for the workmen, etc., all complete as directed by Engineer-in-charge.Note: 1) The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purpose. The payment will be made once irrespective of duration of scaffolding. 2) The buildings are of Ground+ 2 storeyed structure and the contractor has to observe all safety procedure while working on heights as per I.S. 3696 (Part-I) - 1987. (Safety Code for scaffolds).3) All working platform must be of minimum 600 mm wide, made of M.S pipe and must have guard rails as per specification.4) Screen of suitable material shall be provided to the full height of scaffolding and securely tied to protect falling objects coming out during the repair work is in progress.5) To protect workers on lower platform against falling objects from higher level over head protection should be provided on the scaffolds.6) Necessary aluminium/ M.S. ladder shall be provided at the cost of the contractor, to the full height of scaffolding at required location around the building to enable Departmental Supervisor/Engineer climb up and closely watch the repair work of the building.
8Providing and constructing brick masonry at all lifts in cement mortar 1:5 using well cured flyash bricks of class 5 (non-modular) made up of using Flyash + Sand + Lime + additves (Gypsum/Cement) with waterproofing chemicals and accelerators confirming to IS-12894 or latest edition including suitable scaffolding, raking out joints, continuous curing for specified period, etc., all complete as per specifications and drawings.
9Providing plastering to the external surfaces of brickwork/concrete at all elevations in cement mortar 1:5 using crushed stone sand, 12mm thick admixed with cementitious waterproofing admixture of approved make at 400gms per bag of cement or approved water proofing chemical as with ratio as per manufacturer recommendation and including hacking of concrete surfaces with pointed tool, scaffolding, finishing, curing, forming grooves wherever necessary, all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

11Providing and laying Indian Patent Stone Flooring with cement concrete 1:2:4; 20mm thick using 10mm and below size hard broken stones including chipping the damaged portion of existing floor/dadoo, preparation of surface, consolidating, curing, rubbing the surfaces smooth, providing dividing strips, disposing the dismantled debris at suitable places as shown at site within 1Km lead, etc., all complete as per specification and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
12Supplying, fabricating and fixing of Foundation bolts for fixing truss made up of MS/TMT bars of approved dia. including cutting, bending to required shape, making thread of required pitch, providing suitable bolt, embedding in RCC using templates, fixing the bolts, painting the entire bolt with two coats of anti-corrosive paint of approved colour over a coat of red oxide zinc chromate primer / zinc phosphate primer as per manufacturer instructions, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
13Repairs to damaged RCC structural members at all locations and all lifts using SBR Polymer modified plain/ reinforced cement concrete for structural members having minimum characteristic compressive strength [with ordinary portland cement, coarse sand and graded stone aggregate of 10mm maximum size in proportion as per design criteria] with specified average thickness including preparing the dismantled concrete surface by hacking the surface for better adhesion, treating the exposed steel reinforcement using approved chemicals, providing additional reinforcement, if any required, applying bond coat, filling/plastering with polymer modified concrete repair mortar in layers using approved polymers, curing, cleaning of floor/windows thoroughly on completion of repair work etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. (Note:- Cost of additional reinforcement, shear keys, form work and anticorrosive treatment will be paid for separately under relevant item)

15Providing and inserting 12mm (± 2mm) dia Galvanized steel/ Aluminium injection nipple suitable to withstand high pressure grouting in honey comb area/weak/porous concrete including drilling of holes of required diametre (20mm to 30mm) up to depth from 30mm to 80mm at required spacing, making the hole dust free by blowing compressed air, sealing the sides of injection nipple with adhesive chemical of make MC Bauchemie (MC Fix-ST) or Bostik (Plug leak) or other approved make and allow it to cure, etc., all complete as directed by Engineer-In-Charge.
16Providing and injecting PU based injection grout of make MC Bauchemie (MC Inkjet 2700L) or other approved make in proportion as recommended by the manufacturer into cracks/honey-comb area of concrete by suitable two component injection gun/pump at required pressure including mixing of two component, injecting at specified pressure, cutting of nipples after curing, etc., all complete as directed by Engineer-In-Charge.Note:-i) The payment shall be made on the basis of actual weight of approved grout injected. ii) Mixing ratio of chemicals, consumption and application shall be as per manufacturer specifications.iii) The treatment should be done by an agency specialized in the job having sufficient knowledge of grouting in concrete. iv) Cost of providing and fixing of injection nipples will be paid for separately under relevant item.
17Repairs to internal/ external plastering over brick work/ concrete at all locations and all lifts using Polymer modified cement repair mortar including preparing the surface by hacking the surface for better adhesion, providing glass fibre mesh or chicken reinforcement, if any required, applying bond coat, filling/plastering with polymer modified repair mortar in layers using approved polymers, curing, cleaning of floor/windows thoroughly on completion of repair work etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

19Providing painting over all exposed surfaces at all heights over rough cast/plain plaster with one coat of premium exterior emulsion paint of make Asian (APEX - DUST PROOF) or other approved equivalent make of approved shade or match with existing shade over the coat of Highly flexible cementious two component coat water proofing treatment system over the coat of bond coat including making surface free from dirt/oil/other materials by scrapping the surface, removal of loose / cracked mortar, filling the cracks using approved crack fillers, filling/injection/ grouting the cracks/joints where ever required with polymer modified cement mortar using admixtures all complete as detailed below as per manufacturer specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.i) Surface preparation: Remove the existing coatings, paints, etc., Seal the surface cracks by cutting 'V' shaped grooves and filling with crack & using seal compound. Clean the surface throughly to remove the dirts and contaminates and keep dry prior to the primer application, debonded or weak plaster must be replaced with polymer modified mortar. ii) Bond Coat (1st Coat) : Applying Base primer bond coat with of make FAB chemical (MIXBond AC) or Bostik (Boscocem 476) over the existing surface. Mixing ratio consumption and application procedure shall be as per manufacturer specifications. iii) Highly flexible cementious water proofing coat (2nd & 3rd Coat): Applying 2 component waterproofing coating of make FAB Chemical (Mixguard AC) or Bostik (Boscolastic). Duration between these two coats shall be minimum 4 hrs. Mixing ratio of chemicals, consumption and application procedure shall be as per manufacturer specifications. iv) One coat of external wall primer (3rd coat): Applying one coat of external wall primer of make Asian or other approved equivalent, consumption and application procedure shall be as per manufacturer specifications.v) One coat of premium exterier emulsion paint (4th coat): Applying one coat of premium exterior emulsion paint of make Asian (APEX - DUST PROOF) or other approved equivalent make of approved shade or match with existing shade. Mixing ratio of paint, consumption and application shall be as per manufacturer specifications. Note: Cost for plastering will be paid for separately under relevant item.
20Repairs to the wall and ceiling cracks by cutting 'V' shaped grooves and filling with crack seal compound of make Asian (Smart care crack seal) or other approved crack seal compounds including cleaning the grooves treat the crack with primer, apply two coats of crack seal using spatulla or putty knife, finishing the surface, etc., all complete as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
21Painting all internal faces of ceiling with two coats of Acrylic Emulsion paint of make Asian (Tractor) / Berger (Bison) or other approved equivalent make of approved shade over a coat of interior wall primer of make Asian (Professional) / Berger (BP Primer) or other approved equivalent make including scaffolding, removing nails, brooming down the surfaces for removing cobwebs, smoke dirt etc., filling the holes, cracks, crevices with Snowfilla or other suitable filler materials, preparation of surfaces by scrapping the existing white wash / colour wash using scrapping machine with dust free vacuum collection system, cleaning the existing white wash/colour wash area, roughening the surface, washing the area thoroughly with lime and soda mix or other approved chemical using high pressure washer, preparing the surface dust free for applying the primer coat, applying approved make wall care putty wherever required to make surface smooth without porous by using putty knife and sand papers, the dust accumulated during scrapping shall be collected in appropriate dust bin collector / equipment and disposed with in an initial lead, etc., all complete as per specification and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. (Note:- The sample shall be got approved by the EIC before making bulk order.)
22Painting all internal faces of walls / plastered surfaces with Two coat of Interior Emulsion paint of make Asian (Tractor) / Berger (Bison) or other approved equivalent make of approved shade over a coat of interior wall primer of make Asian (Professional) / Berger (BP Primer) or other approved equivalent make including preparation of surfaces by scrapping the existing white wash / colour wash using scrapping machine with dust free vacuum collection system, cleaning the existing white wash/colour wash area, roughening the surface, washing the area thoroughly with lime and soda mix or other approved chemical using high pressure washer, preparing the surface dust free for applying the primer coat, applying approved make wall care putty to make surface smooth without porous by using putty knife and sand papers, the dust accumulated during scrapping shall be collected in appropriate dust bin collector / equipment and disposed with in an initial lead, etc., all complete as per specification and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. 23Disposal of surplus excavated earth / Debris by collecting, loading, transporting by mechanical means and unloading them at places as shown by the Department within a lead specified below and levelling, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.Note: 1) The rates in respect of this item are applicable for the NET Quantities arrived at after making deductions for voids @ 20% in respect of soil and @ 50% in respect of rock from the corresponding stack / truck measurements.2) The earth shall be dumped well inside the dumping yard and not over approach pathway road.

25 GENERAL INFORMATION FOR GUIDANCE OF TENDERERS
26The schedule of quantities is to be read for the purpose of pricing in conjunction with the special conditions, general rules for the guidance of contractors, conditions of contract, specifications, drawings, schedule of supply of materials and the appendices.
27The prices inserted in the schedule of quantities shall be inclusive of value of the work described including all cost and expenses, which may be required in and for the construction of the work described together with the general risks, liabilities and obligations not forth or implied in the documents on which the tender is to be based.
28The quantities stated are to be considered approximate only and the unit prices entered in the schedule of quantities and prices shall apply only to the actual quantities measured in the completed work in accordance with the specifications.
29All the materials other than those shown in schedule of supply of materials in section VII are to be arranged by the contractor and his rates should account for the same.
30Rates quoted for all items in this tender shall include cost of all materials including cement and steel. Department will not supply any materials other than materials stipulated in Section - VII of the tender and as such the rates quoted must be all inclusive.
31If contractors need any clarification they are required to contact the ‘Head, CTC, CEG, GSO, Kalpakkam – 603 102, Chengalpattu district, Tamilnadu (Ph – 044 - 27481238 and 044-27480500 Extn. 84727, 85803) during office hours. SECTION VIII - CONDITIONS FOR CEMENT& STEEL
32The contractor shall be responsible for supply of cement and procure Ordinary Portland Cement conforming to IS 269-2015 / Portland Pozzolona Cement conforming to IS: 1489-2015 and use it on works. Since the supply of cement by the department has been dispensed, all the clauses relevant to supply of cement by department in this tender document stands cancelled. The contractor shall purchase cement from the approved manufacturers only. The secured advance on cement shall be regulated as per Clause 10-B of conditions of contract. Secured advances on cement up to 90% of assessed price shall be paid to the contractor after indemnifying the Government and through insurance cover. The quantity of cement on which secured advance shall be paid will be restricted to the consignment of cement tested and passed in the test in department laboratory. Prior approval to be obtained from the Engineer for the quantities proposed to be purchased.
33The contractor shall procure Ordinary Portland Cement conforming to IS 269-2015 / Portland Pozzolona Cement conforming to IS: 1489-2015 and use it on works. Ordinary Portland Cement, as required in the work, from reputed manufacturers of cement, having a production-capacity of one million tonnes per annum or more, such as A.C.C., L & T, J.P. Rewa, Vikram, Shri Cement, Birla Jute and Cement Corporation of India, etc., as approved by Ministry of Industry, Government of India, and holding license to use ISI certification mark for their product whose name shall be got approved from Engineer-in-charge. Supply of cement shall be taken in 50 Kg. bags bearing manufacturer’s name and ISI marking, samples of cement arranged by the contractor shall be taken by the Engineer-in-charge and got tested in accordance with provisions of relevant BIS codes. In case test results indicate that the cement arranged by contractor does not conform to the relevant BIS codes, the same shall stand rejected and shall be removed from the site by the contractor at his own cost within a week’s time of written order from the Engineer-in-charge to do so.
34The cement shall be brought at site in bulk supply of approximately 50 tonnes or as decided by the Engineer-in-charge.
35The cement Godown of having a capacity to store minimum of 2000 bags of cement shall be constructed by the contractor at site of work for which no extra payment shall be made from department. Double lock provision shall be made to the door of the cement godown. The keys of one lock shall remain with the Engineer in charge or his authorised representative and the key of the other lock shall remain with the contractor. The contractor shall be responsible for the watch and ward the safety of the cement godown. The contractor shall facilitate the inspection of the cement godown by the Engineer-in-charge at any time.
36The contractor shall supply free of charge the cement required for testing. The cost of tests shall be borne by the contractor.
37The actual issue and consumption of cement on work shall be regulated and proper accounts maintained as provided in Clause 10 of the contract. The theoretical consumption of cement shall be worked out as per procedure prescribed in Clause 42 of the contract and shall be governed by conditions laid therein.
