| 2 | The Bill of quantities shall be read in conjunction with the instruction to Bidders, General and Special Conditions of Contract, Technical Specifications, and Drawings. |
| 3 | The quantities given in the Bill of Quantities are estimated and only provisional, and are given to provide a common basis for bidding. The basis of payment will be actual quantities of work ordered and carried out, as measured by the contractor and verified by the engineer and valued at the rates and prices bid in the priced Bill of Quantities, where applicable, and otherwise at such rates and prices as the Engineer may fix within the terms of contract. Only the pipes, specials and valves that are actually use at the site alone be eligible for payment, extra quantity of specials transported at the site that are not used should be removed from the site and are not eligible for payment. |
| 4 | The rates and prices bid in the priced Bill of quantities shall, except insofar as it is otherwise provided under the Contract, include all the Constructional plant, labour, supervision, materials, erection, maintenance, insurance, profit, taxes and duties, together with all general risks, liabilities and obligations set out or implied in the Contract. |
| 5 | A rate or price shall be entered against each item in the priced Bill of Quantities, whether quantities are stated or not. The cost of Items against which the Contractor has failed to enter a rate or price shall be deemed to be covered by other rates and prices entered in the bill of Quantities. |
| 6 | General discussion and description of work and materials are not necessarily repeated nor summarised in the Bill of Quantities. References to the relevant sections of the contract documentation shall be made before entering prices against each item in the Bill of Quantities. |
| 7 | Provisional sums included and so designated in the Bill of Quantities shall be expanded in whole or part at the direction and discretion of the Engineer. |
| 8 | The method of measurement of completed work for payment shall be in accordance with standard method of measurements of the institution of Civil Engineers. |

| 49 | As built survey for every sewage and water pipeline and other assets must be done using DGPS based RTK method by transferring the coordinates from the nearest Static GCP of CMWSSB and establishing TBMs for the project area as instructed by CMWSSB Engineer.Where there are signal interruptions for the RTK method, Total Station can be used.The coordinates from the static GCP shall be transferred to the Total Station by RTK method and the co- ordinates of the assets can then be captured by Total Station. While surveying by RTK method, it shall be ensured that the values are captured by “fixed” status.The DGPS RTK survey report including “fixed” or “float” for the coordinates captured and horizontal & vertical precision with raw data in OEM nativity file format like (.mdb, .jxl, .tet, etc) shall be submitted. All the features, attributes of all the assets, utilities captured shall be Geo referenced as per standard Coordinate reference system (WGS 84 UTM Zone 44N). The final base map with assets and utilities shall be furnished in (.shp) format. The geo referenced assets and utilities along with the attributes (as specified by the GIS Wing, CMWSSB) shall be converted into proper geo database (FGDB / PGDB) with the attributes. One set Hard and Soft Copy of all the CMWSSB assets and utility has to be prepared category wise network wise in A0 Print for verification in a print scale of 1:1000 in A0 plot, with standard legends in international and NUIS standards and should be legible and three sets of final Hard Copy in A0 print. For the Underground / Surface Assets along the roads for the distance above 2km & upto 5km. |

| 52 | Electromagnetic Flow Meter shall be a velocity sensing Electromagnetic type, microprocessor based signal converter, sealed housing, flanged tube meter for 1.0 Mpa working pressure, manufactured to highest standard available for mag-meters, equipped with minimum six digit digital totalizers, reading in different units (Kiloliters / Cubic meter) and shall be accurate within 0.5% of Measured value, shall operate within a range of 0.3 m/sec to 4 m/sec and be constructed as follows: Meter tube (Sensor) shall be fabricated from stainless steel tube and use class PN10 flat face carbon steel flanges in accordance with IS 1538. These flanges shall be welded to the flow tube. The internal and external of the meter tube shall be blasted to near white and lined with hard rubber/ Polyurethrene/ PTFE preferably by SBR or EPDM. Meter tube shall have a constant nominal inside diameter offering no obstruction to the flow. The accuracy should be inclusive of linearity, hysteresis, repeatability, temperature and pressure effects. Coil Housing shall be fabricated from stainless steel (SS304)/ Die cast Aluminium/ Carbon steel with anticorriosive paint for corrosion resistance and welded to the tube providing a completely sealed environment for all coils, electrode connections and wiring harness capable of submerged or buried operation with IP68 Protection. |
| 53 | Signal Converter shall be pulsed DC coil excitation type with auto zeroing. The signal converter shall be remotely mounted away from the meter. The converter shall indicate direction of flow and provide a flow rate indication and a total of flow volume for both forward and reverse directions. The converter shall provide an isolated 4-20 mA output into minimum 500-ohm load and a frequency output of a maximum of 0-10 KHZ and a scaled pulse output. The microprocessor based signal converter shall have a self-diagnostic test mode and a backlit display that continuously displays “Rate of Flow” and “Total Volume”. Converter shall be supplied with a programmable low flow drop out, higher flow and empty pipe zero return. The signal converter housing should be die-cast aluminum with glass window. The converter cum transmitter should be fully programmable from the front facia. The programming should be user friendly, self-prompting menu driven. Flow meter test calibration certificate from FCRI, flow test lab / NABL accredited lab to be furnished and with 5 years warranty. |
