5Wet Mix Macadam Base Course Providing, laying, spreading and compacting graded stone aggregate conforming to the grading of Table 400-13 revised vide Table 2 of IRC:109 (2015) to Wet Mix Macadam specification including premixing the material with water at OMC in mechanical mix plant, carriage of mixed material by tipper to site, laying in uniform layers with paver in sub-base/base course on well-prepared surface and compacting with vibratory roller to achieve the desired density. The thickness of a single compacted layer shall not be less than 75 mm. (Reference to MoRTH's Specification 406.)
6Primer CoatProviding and applying primer coat with cationic bitumen emulsion CSS-1 grade conforming to IS:8887 on prepared porous granular surface including clearing of road surface and spraying primer using mechanical means. 7Bituminous Macadam Providing and laying bituminous macadam with 100-120 TPH hot mix plant using crushed aggregates of specified grading premixed with approved bituminous binder @ 3.3% (min) for Grading -1 and 3.4% (min) for Grading -2 by weight of total mix , transported to site, laid over a previously prepared base with paver finisher to the required grade, level and alignment and rolled as per clauses 501.6 and 501.7 to achieve the desired compaction (Reference to MORT&H's specification clause504). For Grading II (19 mm nominal maximum aggregate size) LayerThickness 50-75mm.
8Tack CoatProviding and applying tack coat with Cationic Bitumen Emulsion (RS1) complying with IS:8887 using emulsion pressure distributor on the prepared bituminous/granular/cement concrete pavement surface cleaned with mechanical broom and high-pressure air jet. 9Tack Coat:Providing and applying tack coat with Cationic Bitumen Emulsion of approved grade conforming to IS:8887-1978 on the prepared surface cleaned with Hydraulic broom, moistening the surface including cost and carriage of emulsion, hire charges of machinery and labour, cost of fuel and lubricants all complete as per Clause 503 of Specifications for Road & Bridge Works of MoRT&H (5th Revision).On Granular surfaces treated with primer (Using Bitumen emulsion at the rate of 0.25 to 0.30 kg per sqm.) 10Providing & laying Semi-dense Bituminous Concrete (SDBC) as wearing coarse by Hot Mix Plant, using coarse aggregates, fine aggregates, filler materials and binder of required specification and grading as per approved job mix formula, over thoroughly cleaned surface coated with tack coat, including screening, cleaning of aggregates, mixing the components as per approved Job Mix Formula with hot binder, carrying the mixture by tipper truck or any other approved suitable arrangements, laying the mixture uniformly, maintaining the specified laying temperature, thorough rolling with power roller with necessary hand packing and pinning to give an uniform surface to achieve the desired density of at least 98% of that of Laboratory Marshall specimen, including the cost and carriage of aggregates, filler and binder, heating the binder, preheating the aggregates, and filler to the specified temperature,including the hire charges of Hot Mix Plant and other machineries, pay of operators, cost of fuel and lubricants and all other incidental charges complete. 11Road Marking with Hot Applied Thermoplastic Compound with Reflectorising Glass Beads on Bituminous SurfaceProviding and laying of hot applied thermoplastic compound 2.5 mm thick including reflectorising glass beads @ 250 gms per sqm area, thickness of 2.5 mm is exclusive of surface applied glass beads as per IRC:35.
