Over the primer coat the layer ofmembrane shall be laid using Butane Torch and sealing all joints etc., and preparing the surface complete. The vital physical and chemical parameters of the membrane shall be as under : Joint strength in longitudinal and transverse direction at 23°C as 650/450N/5cm. Tear strength in longitudinal and transverse direction as 300/250N. Softening point of membrane not less than 150°C. Cold flexibility shall be upto-2°C when tested in accordance with ASTM, D- 5147. | 4 | Providing and applying RoofKoat UV-resistant, flexible polyurethane-based protective and wearing coat over existing waterproofing membrane on roofs/terraces, forming a seamless, durable and weather-resistant protective layer, resistant to UV radiation, sunlight, moisture, abrasion and normal pedestrian/maintenance foot traffic. The work shall include thorough cleaning and preparation of the existing waterproofing surface, application of compatible primer where required, treatment of joints, corners and vulnerable areas, and application of the polyurethane protective coating in the required number of coats to achieve the specified dry film thickness, including all materials, labour, tools, equipment, consumables, surface preparation, finishing and curing, complete in all respects as per the manufacturer's recommendations and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. |
