Name of Work:- PROVN OF EARTH FILLING AT BLAST PEN AT BHISIANA UNDER GE (AF) BHISIANA
Sl. No. Item Description
1Demolition of brick work or stone / boulder masonry, built in cement mortar or cement lime mortar including all quoins, arches, pillars, etc, but excluding ashlar facings, dressed stonework and precast concrete articles in any description and removing/disposal off from the site to outside MOD land complete all as specified and as directed.
2Material and labour for brick work with sub class ‘B’ old size burnt clay bricks, straight or curved on plan exc. 6 metre mean radius built in cement mortar (1:4) complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
3Taking down cement plaster/rough cast plaster from brick walls/soffits of roof projections & chajjas /ceilings etc. including racking out joints, hacking for key & scrubbing down with water etc including disposal of rubbish material to any distance out side MOD land complete all as specified and as directed.
4Material and labour for 15mm thick cement plastering/ rendering in cement mortar (1:4) on any face of Brick walls or concrete surfaces including mixing of liquid WPC in mortar @ 200 ml per bag of cement of 50kg, finished even and fair complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- WPC shall be measured & paid separately as Supply only under appropriate item of BOQ.
5Supply only liquid water proofing compound complete all as specified and as directed.
6Material and labour for preparation of new external surface of walls / Roof Projections etc. by removing all loose dust/dirt using broom and applying two coats of premium quality water-based exterior emulsion paint based on 100% acrylic binder with silicone additives, having VOC content not exceeding 50 g/litre when tested in accordance with IS 101 (Part 2/Sec 2) and UV resistance conforming to IS 15489:2004 or latest revision, of approved brand and manufacture, in camouflage pattern using 4 to 5 approved colour shades as per pattern approved by the Engineer-in-Charge. The paint shall have a coverage capacity of approximately 7 to 8 square metres per litre for two coats and shall be applied over one coat of alkali-resistant water-based exterior primer of the same make having a coverage capacity of approximately 11 to 14 square metres per litre per coat, the paint shall be applied by brush, roller or airless spray gun as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge and in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations to achieve a uniform camouflage finish, complete in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.Brand and Make of primer for external : - Seal O Primer of Berger / Smart Care Primero of Asian / Excel Alkali Prime of Nerolac / Weather Shield Alkali Bloc of DuluxBrand and Make of exterior acrylic emulsion paint: - Apex Ultima of Asian / Weather Coat antidust of Berger / Weather shield Protect of Dulux / Excel Mica Marble of NerolacNotes : (i) A minimum interval of 4 to 6 hours, or such duration as recommended by the manufacturer, shall be maintained between successive coats to ensure proper drying, curing and adhesion of the paint system.(ii) The percentage, distribution, arrangement, sequence and configuration of the approved colour shades forming the camouflage pattern shall be finalized by the Engineer-in-Charge/Station Authority using 4 to 5 approved colour shades having RGB values within the range of 110 to 171, ensuring adequate colour variation and blending to achieve the desired camouflage effect.(iii) The approved camouflage pattern shall be maintained uniformly throughout the work. Any deviation from the approved pattern, colour shades or workmanship standards shall be rectified by the Contractor at his own cost and to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge.
7Material and labour for rough excavation in soft/loose soil, not exceeding 1.50 metres in depth, from any location within MOD land as marked by the user, including getting out and removing the excavated material and transporting the same to the Blast Pen (BP), as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge, with a lead exceeding 5 km but not exceeding 15 km, including all necessary handling, loading, unloading and transportation. The excavated earth shall be used for formation of the embankment of the Blast Pen up to a height not exceeding 9 metres from the base and Earth shall be lifted and deposited over and around the Blast Pen, including on its sloping sides and roof/top, and shall be spread in uniform layers, each not exceeding 30 cm in compacted thickness. Each layer shall be watered as necessary and properly rammed/compacted before laying the subsequent layer up to required level. The embankment shall be formed, dressed and compacted to the required lines, levels, slopes, profiles and dimensions to the entire satisfaction of the Ground Executive, complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.Notes:(i) The quoted unit rate shall be deemed to include the cost of excavation, getting out, removal and transportation of excavated earth within the specified lead, including all handling, loading, unloading, leads and lifts at the Blast Pen, spreading in layers, watering, ramming/compaction, levelling, dressing and all other incidental operations necessary for satisfactory completion of the Blast Pen embankment. No separate payment shall be admissible on any of these accounts or under any circumstances.(ii) Measurement for payment shall be based on the quantity of earth in its compacted condition at the Blast Pen embankment. The quantity shall be determined from initial and final levels taken over a properly established grid or by any other approved method of levelling, and the volume shall be calculated based on the difference between the initial and final levels. No separate allowance for bulking, shrinkage or settlement shall be admissible.(iii) The work shall be executed at the Blast Pens (BPs) located at different locations within the Technical Area, through the loop road. The work shall be carried out one by one Blast Pen, as directed by the Station Authority/Runway Staff.(iv) If the contractor, with the approval of the Engineer-in-Charge, elects to arrange and bring suitable earth from outside MOD land for formation of the Blast Pen embankment, the same shall be entirely at the contractor's own cost and risk, and no extra payment shall be admissible to the contractor on this account. A proper record of each truck/trolley carrying such earth shall be maintained by the JE, including gate pass details, vehicle registration number, date and time of entry, quantity/details of material and other relevant particulars.
