An area for 'Debris bins' will be identified on the request of contractor for collection of debris generated on day to day basis. The debris from debris bin shall be cleared every week. The contractor must maintain adequate number of wheel barrows all the time for shifting the debris to Debris bin. Penal recovery for not disposing off the debris in time will be made @ Rs.500/- per Cu.m.5) The debris generated shall be disposed by mechanical transport to the nearest dumping pit as approved by Engineer-In-Charge with all leads, loading, unloading etc. complete. No payment shall be released unless certificate from EIC showing clearance of debris is produced in each RA bill and Final bill. 6) Labours working on the scaffolding should be with safety belts, helmets and they should wear the same while working. Labours seen not wearing safety belts & helmets shall be sent out of the work immediately and a penalty of Rs.1000.00 per person per day will be levied. | 2 | Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the exterior side at all height made using 40mm diameter M.S. tube spaced @ 1.5m center to center at both horizontal and vertical joining with cup and lock system with M.S.tube, M.S.tube challies, M.S clamps and M.S staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc., including maintaining it in a serviceable condition for the required duration as approved, removing after completion of repair works, the scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners connection with the building, etc., wherever required for essential safety features for the workmen, etc., all complete as directed by Engineer-in-charge.Note: 1) The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purpose. The payment will be made once irrespective of duration of scaffolding. 2) The buildings are of Ground+ 2 storeyed structure and the contractor has to observe all safety procedure while working on heights as per I.S. 3696 (Part-I) - 1987. (Safety Code for scaffolds).3) All working platform must be of minimum 600 mm wide, made of M.S pipe and must have guard rails as per specification.4) Screen of suitable material shall be provided to the full height of scaffolding and securely tied to protect falling objects coming out during the repair work is in progress.5) To protect workers on lower platform against falling objects from higher level over head protection should be provided on the scaffolds.6) Necessary aluminium/ M.S. ladder shall be provided at the cost of the contractor, to the full height of scaffolding at required location around the building to enable Departmental Supervisor/Engineer climb up and closely watch the repair work of the building. |

All cracks should be filled/grouted with polymer modified mortar (PMC) 1:3 (1 cement: 3sand) with 5% SBR additive.ii) Coving:- Coving should be done at the junction of all wall and slab areas using polymer modified mortar (PMC) 1:3 (1 cement: 3sand) with 5% SBR additive.iii) Expansion Joints Treatment:- All expansion joints to be treated with Polysulphide Sealant. iv) Construction joints Treatment:- All construction joints to be properly treated with polymer modified mortar (PMC) 1:4 (1 cement: 4 sand) with 5% SBR additive.v) Primer application:- Apply one coat of approved primer @ 0.3 Kg/Sq.m as a prime coat over the prepared substrate.vi) Membrane application:- Laying and fixing SBS 1.5 mm thick self-adhesive waterproofing membrane over the properly primed surface, starting from the lowest point and progressing towards the highest point, ensuring proper alignment. The membrane shall be laid with minimum 75 mm longitudinal overlap and 100 mm transverse overlap. Remove the silicone release film to expose the adhesive layer and apply uniform pressure using a suitable roller to ensure proper adhesion and removal of entrapped air, if any. Mixing ratio of chemicals, consumption and application procedure shall be as per manufacturer specifications. iv) One coat of external wall primer (3rd coat): Applying one coat of external wall primer of make Asian or other approved equivalent, consumption and application procedure shall be as per manufacturer specifications.v) Two coat of premium exterier emulsion paint (4th coat): Applying two coat of premium exterior emulsion paint of make Asian (APEX - DUST PROOF) or other approved equivalent make of approved shade or match with existing shade. Mixing ratio of paint, consumption and application shall be as per manufacturer specifications.Note: Cost for plastering will be paid for separately under relevant item. |

The contractor shall purchase cement from the approved manufacturers only. The secured advance on cement shall be regulated as per Clause 10-B of conditions of contract. Secured advances on cement up to 90% of assessed price shall be paid to the contractor after indemnifying the Government and through insurance cover. The quantity of cement on which secured advance shall be paid will be restricted to the consignment of cement tested and passed in the test in department laboratory. Prior approval to be obtained from the Engineer for the quantities proposed to be purchased. |
| 48 | The contractor shall procure Ordinary Portland Cement conforming to IS 269-2015 / Portland Pozzolona Cement conforming to IS: 1489-2015 and use it on works. Ordinary Portland Cement, as required in the work, from reputed manufacturers of cement, having a production-capacity of one million tonnes per annum or more, such as A.C.C., L & T, J.P. Rewa, Vikram, Shri Cement, Birla Jute and Cement Corporation of India, etc., as approved by Ministry of Industry, Government of India, and holding license to use ISI certification mark for their product whose name shall be got approved from Engineer-in-charge. Supply of cement shall be taken in 50 Kg. bags bearing manufacturer’s name and ISI marking, samples of cement arranged by the contractor shall be taken by the Engineer-in-charge and got tested in accordance with provisions of relevant BIS codes. In case test results indicate that the cement arranged by contractor does not conform to the relevant BIS codes, the same shall stand rejected and shall be removed from the site by the contractor at his own cost within a week’s time of written order from the Engineer-in-charge to do so. |
| 49 | The cement shall be brought at site in bulk supply of approximately 50 tonnes or as decided by the Engineer-in-charge. |
| 50 | The cement Godown of having a capacity to store minimum of 2000 bags of cement shall be constructed by the contractor at site of work for which no extra payment shall be made from department. Double lock provision shall be made to the door of the cement godown. The keys of one lock shall remain with the Engineer in charge or his authorised representative and the key of the other lock shall remain with the contractor. The contractor shall be responsible for the watch and ward the safety of the cement godown. The contractor shall facilitate the inspection of the cement godown by the Engineer-in-charge at any time. |
| 51 | The contractor shall supply free of charge the cement required for testing. The cost of tests shall be borne by the contractor. |
| 52 | The actual issue and consumption of cement on work shall be regulated and proper accounts maintained as provided in Clause 10 of the contract. The theoretical consumption of cement shall be worked out as per procedure prescribed in Clause 42 of the contract and shall be governed by conditions laid therein. |
