Name of Work:- PROVISION OF EARTH RING CONDUCTOR OF LIGHTNING PROTECTION SYSTEM FOR TPS AND HANGARS OF VAJRAKOSH
Sl. No. Item Description
1Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5 m wide and not exceeding 1.5 m in depth for laying/taking out cables, getting out in soft/loose soil, all as specified and directed.
2Returning, filling in soil including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm thick, all as specified and directed.
3Removing excavated material/soil not exceeding 50 m and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 m above the starting point, all as specified and directed.
4Supply, laying and fixing of bare copper strip of size 32 mm × 6 mm copper ring conductor around the building at a depth of 500 mm below finished ground level, testing and commissioning as per STEC Pamphlet No. 17, and connecting to earth pits complete, all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
5S&F GI Pipe light grade, 50mm dia , galvanized, with all fittings complete all as specified and directed
6M&L for test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphor bronze of size 75 × 75 × 25 mm, drilled and screwed, including 3 Nos. 8 mm dia × 25 mm long hex head screws and protected with 3 mm thick enclosure, complete closed for test point with 4 Nos. screws fixed to wall, all as specified and directed.
7M&L for red epoxy insulator suitable for fixing earthing strip to wall/floor etc., complete with necessary nuts, bolts and fixing materials, all as specified and directed.
8M&L for earthing complete with copper plate 60 cm × 60 cm × 3.15 mm thick buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 m deep below ground level) with top edge of plate not less than 1.5 m below normal ground level, connected to and including copper strip strip 20 mm × 3 mm by means of nuts, bolts, check nuts and washers of galvanised iron/steel, and provision of charcoal dust and common salt packed all around the earth plate, including necessary excavation and earthwork in any type of soil and testing complete, all as specified and directed and as shown in Electrical Plate No. 5 of MES SSR Part-I (1991), including:(a) Excavation and earthwork for drilling hole for electrode in any type of soil.(b) PCC pit in cement concrete 1:2:4 type B-1, precast RCC cover with suitable handle, 40 mm thick in 1:2:4 type B-1 reinforced with welded steel wire fabric weighing not less than 1.87 kg/sq.m.(c) Funnel with watering pipe of GI 20 mm nominal bore, light grade, with lugs etc., complete all as specified and directed.(d) 40 mm nominal bore medium grade GI protection pipe, 5 m long, for protection of earthing lead complete all as specified and directed.(e) Requisite quantity of common salt and charcoal.(f) Testing of earthing.
9Demolition of unreinforced cement concrete in roads and pavings not exceeding 15 cm thickness (below or above ground level).
10M&L for PCC 1:2:4 type B-2 (40 mm graded crushed stone aggregate) as in road filling, all as specified and directed.
11S&F of nuts and bolts with mild steel machine-made bolts having hexagonal or square heads at one end and screwed the other, or screwed both ends, each screwed end to be fitted with washers and one hexagonal or square nut, length 5 cm to 10 cm and diameter ranging from 16 mm to 20 mm, as required at site, all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
12M&L for pouring of earth recharger water-soluble soil reactivation earthing compound (gel form) per litre, complete by excavating earthing pits for pouring of earth recharger compound gel by digging 1 foot deep around the earth pit, mixing 8 litres of earth recharger with 10 litres of water separately and pouring the solution into the dug hole slowly within a period of 2 hours, leaving the solution in the earth pit for 4 hours and then checking the resistance, all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
