1M&L For cleaning the surface with compressor air and make the surface free from dust and other particle and apply cold polymeric bitumen emulsion (PME) @1.00 ltr per sqm in one coats after dilution with 50% water , viz in ratio 1:1 ( water :PME ) by mechanical spraying machine complete all as specified and directed.Note : The following points shall be taken into consideration while quoting his rate for the items. (a) No price adjusment shall be applicable if excess quantity of cold polymeric bitumen emulsion is used unders this items. (b) A performance guarantee cerrtificate for two years shall be submitted by the contractor after physical completion of the work. Note: Applicable for S.N.1 the work will be carried out as per user requirment from 8:30 hrs to 20:00 hrs . the deployment of labour and T&P arrangment on the runway shall be intimated to the contractor by 0800 hours each day in the morning. The contractor has to provide necessary arrangment and light etc and quated the rate according for considering late working hours at night. The quated rate by the contractor shall be included all details mentioned in this note and nothing extra shall be paid on this account .
2M & L for racking out of old existing sealant compound and back up rod of the existing joints by special tools like cutting blade/ machines, widening of joints by 2 mm by using joint cutting blades of appropriate size, straight and smooth edges, joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air, joint shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil, vegetation and other debris. Application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before placing the backup rod 12 mm and pouring the sealant. Thereafter filled with closed cell, medium density, cross linked polythene form backup rod of appropriate dia for complete length of the joint, over it to be filled with polyurethane joint sealant 10 mm thick meeting the requirements mentioned in BS 5212, BS 4254 and EN 141875-2003 with minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) of +/-30%. width of joint 12-15 mm Note: For cutting of joint and cleaning of cutting surface contractor should use electric operated tools at site and sufficient usable DG to be arranged by contractor himself .

Thereafter filled with pre moulded 20-25 mm thick comprssible polyethylene closed cell type filler board as specified if required at site, over it filled with closed cell , medium density, cross linked polythene form backup rod of appropriate dia for complete length of the joint, over it to be filled with polyurethane joint sealant 10 mm thick meeting the requirements mentioned in BS 5212, BS 4254 and EN 141875-2003 with minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) of +/-30%.Joint width 21- 25 mm Note: For cutting of joint and cleanig of cutting surface contractor should use electric operated tools at site no electric supply provided by MES and user Note: For cutting of joint and cleaning of cutting surface contractor should use electric operated tools at site and sufficient usable DG to be arranged by contractor himself .
5M&L for repair to patches of flexural portion of runway,depth n.exc 80 mm,including sweeping free from dust and mud or water with wire or jute brush scooring sunken surface in runway pavement, cutting arround edge to atlest full depth of carpet layer making proper rectangular or squre shape patch and making good by applying tack coat with bitumenous primer (catonic emulsion RS) and filling the pacth with ready made bitumeonus mix of using cutback bitumen rooled and compacted to required camber and gradient with hand roller complete and clean the surface by brooming and making FOD free surface to runway complete all as specified and as directed.
6M&L for preparation of old painted surface of concrete / bituminous pavement by brushing and applying one coat painting with water based road marking paint (any Colour) in pattern of lines / arrows / letters etc. on road or pavements exc 10cm width or girth, complete all as specified and directed .
7Repair to broken spalled edges of joints, pot holes etc of existing concrete slab by cuting 'U' grooves with mechanical cutter, cleaning the joint portion throughly to ensure dust free using compresser air removing all dust/debris out of runway applying compound of hardener Aradur-140 and Araldite GY-257 primer in the ratio of 1:2 by weight and filling the joint with epoxy mixture of Aradur-140, Araldite GY-257 and quartz sand & silcon flour mix No 10 in the ratio of 1:2:15 by weight and finishing the top surface smooth all as per manufacturers instructions and complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge for the following joint size:-
8(a) Joints of size 1 to 2 CM wide and depth n.exc 2.0 CM
9(b) Joints of size 1 to 2 CM wide and depth exc 2.0 CM but not exc 4.0 cm
10M&L for preparation of old decorated surfaces of concrete pavement and applying two coat of white wash complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge
11M&L for repair to flexible surface (depressed portion / cracked portion) by cutting damaged / spilled portion to required depth removing useless worthless all looses and foreign materials etc to a distance exceeding 100 m but not exceeding 500 m. Cleaning the surface thoroughly with brushes and finally with compressed air, filling and levelling the surface with EPOXY TAR COMPOUND two components mortar after priming including formwork where required all as specified and as directed.Note: For cutting of joint and cleaning of cutting surface contractor should use electric operated tools at site and sufficient usable DG to be arranged by contractor himself .
