Project Description
Tender for To Carry Out The Coating Work Of Food Grade Fiber Reinforced Polymer To Pac Storage Tanks With Allied Works At Pac House, Chemical Section, Bhandup Complex.
BOQ
| Sl. No. | Item Description |
| 1 | The work shall include surface preparation by removing the existing plaster and cleaning the surface using a high-pressure water jet machine and brushing, wherever required, to remove all algae growth, fungal growth, and other contaminants. All loose, deteriorated, and honeycombed concrete fragments shall be completely removed. The work shall include all leads, lifts, tools, labour, and incidental requirements, as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge, to ensure that the surface is properly prepared and dry for receiving Polymer Modified Cement Mortar. |
| 2 | Preparation of non-reactive lining on the internal surfaces of the tank by providing and applying ready-mix Polymer Modified Cement Mortar of average thickness 12 mm, using polymer in one or more layers in the proportion of 1:5:15 (Polymer : Cement : Quartz Sand) as per the manufacturer’s specifications. The application shall be carried out in specified layers and the surface shall be cured after 72 hours of application using wet gunny bags or other approved methods. The surface shall then be finished with 12 mm thick cement plaster in proportion 1:3 (Cement : Crushed Sand). |
| 3 | Providing and applying non-toxic, solvent-free, food-grade Fibre Reinforced Polymer (FRP) coating on the prepared internal surfaces of the tank. The FRP composite material shall consist of resin liner, hardener, lacquer and catalyst, which undergoes exothermic reaction during curing to form a high-strength composite layer. The coating shall incorporate glass fibres to develop structural strength and adhesion. The final FRP layer shall be applied to achieve a minimum thickness of 10 mm. |
| 4 | Providing, detailing, fabricating and fixing structural steel members at the required locations at the top of the PAC storage tank using hot-rolled sections and MS plates of Grade Fe-250, as per approved specifications and fabrication drawings. The fabrication drawings shall be prepared by the contractor and approved by the Engineer-in-Charge prior to execution. The work shall include transporting the fabricated components to site and erecting them at all heights and levels, including provision of erection bolts, nuts, washers, cleats, stiffeners, gussets, base plates, clips, and all necessary fixtures. All fabrication operations such as preheating (where required), straightening, bending, cutting, drilling, grinding of projections, machining (if specified), welding, grinding, and cleaning of weld spatters shall be carried out. The surfaces shall be properly prepared to receive the FRP coating. |
| 5 | Providing and applying non-toxic, solvent-free, food-grade Fibre Reinforced Polymer (FRP) coating on all fabricated structural steel members. The FRP composite shall consist of resin liner, hardener, lacquer and catalyst, forming a reinforced composite layer with glass fibre reinforcement through an exothermic curing process. The coating shall be applied to achieve a minimum thickness of 6 mm. |
| 6 | Providing and fixing Magnetic Level Gauge suitable for PAC storage tanks, including all necessary fittings, supports, and accessories, complete as required for proper installation and operation. |
| 7 | Providing and fixing non-toxic, solvent-free, food-grade Fibre Reinforced Polymer (FRP) composite sheets for forming the enclosure/cover over the PAC storage tank. The FRP composite shall be formed using resin liner, hardener, lacquer and catalyst, creating a durable protective enclosure layer. The enclosure shall include GI 8-gauge wire mesh reinforcement on the top side with thermal resistance. The tank cover shall also include two FRP manholes with frames of size 900 mm × 900 mm, having minimum thickness of 25 mm and load-bearing capacity of 3 MT, complete in all respects. |
| 8 | Providing, detailing and fabricating ladder and railing assemblies using Stainless Steel hollow pipes of Grade SS-316 (10 gauge / 3.2 mm thickness) as per specifications. The work shall include transporting the fabricated components to site and erecting them with stainless steel fixtures, fasteners, cleats, stiffeners, gussets and other required accessories. All necessary fabrication operations such as straightening, bending, cutting, drilling, welding, grinding, removal of welding burrs, machining (if required), finishing and cleaning shall be carried out. The work shall be completed as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Please Enable Macros to View BoQ information |
