Project Description
Tender for Structural Testing Of Certain Building At Sekhon Vihar Under Ge (Af) Gurgaon No 1
BOQ
| Sl. No. | Item Description |
| 1 | Conducting site visit at each location, preparation of preliminary data, conducting various test and formulating for test result building wise from Block P-144 to P-153 and suggestion for Retro fitting/ remidial measure. Investigation in different part of building and submission of report with recommandation for strengthening of building with details drawing and BOQ for repairing or recommendation for demolition if not structurely sound, in triplicate copy. The inspection, testing performed and submission of reports for these tests. |
| 2 | Visual survey test for thorough inspection of all accessible structural elements, including columns, beams, slabs, overhead tanks and walls, shafts to identify visible signs of distress such as cracks, spalling, corrosion, misalignment, deflection, or water seepage etc. The test will be conducted from Building P-144 to P-153 Blocks in sekhon vihar. |
| 3 | Rebound hammer test (RHT):- Test for determining the estimated compressive strength of concrete and uniformility of concrete in terems of surface hardness as per IS 13311(Part-2)-1992. ASTM C805-02. Also establashing correlation between rebound hammer and other confirmatory test for estimated in-situ strength of concrete if required all as directed. The test will be conducted from Building P-144 to P-153 Blocks in sekhon vihar. |
| 4 | Ultrasonic pulse velocity test(UPVT):- For ascertaining the internal quality, homogenity, cracks, voids, soundness and density & uniformity of concrete as per IS 13311 (Part-I) 1992, ASTM C 597-83,etc.complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge. The test will be conducted from Building P-144 to P-153 Blocks in sekhon vihar. |
| 5 | Half-Cell Potential Test: Estimation of probability of corrosion in reinforced concrete structures, providing an approximate assessment of steel reinforcement condition. It helps prioritize maintenance by highlighting zones where corrosion is active or likely, enabling an efficient and cost-effective preliminary estimate of repair needs across the buildings.Device used for test high impedance voltmeter, Copper/ Copper sulphate, connecting cables & clips etc.The test will be conducted from Building P-144 to P-153 Blocks in sekhon vihar. |
| 6 | Core cutting and compression test:- By extracting the concrete core samples with portable power driven core cutting equipment at selected locations from RCC members of the structures covered under the study and performing compression test for evaluating the properties like characterstic strength and grade of concrete in the laboratory from the core samples selected as per IS 456:2000, IS 516:1959, IS1199:2002, ASTM C-42 etc without encountering any steel reinforcement from the RCC members at specified locations complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge. The test will be conducted from Building P-144 to P-153 Blocks in sekhon vihar. |
| 7 | PH value and cabonation test:- Measurement of PH valve and carbonation depth tests using the phenolphthalein spray indicator method on selected RCC members. This test will assess the extent of carbonation and its impact on steel reinforcement by evaluating both carbonation and cover depth. Care will be taken to avoid damage to the structure. All testing shall be carried out as per relevant standards complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge. The test will be conducted from Building P-144 to P-153 Blocks in sekhon vihar. |
| 8 | Cover meter scanning or Rebar scanning test:- Conducting cover meter test to locate the Re-bar along with its diameter at specified location of building under study as per standard engineering practice with latest available tools to determine depth of cocrete cover, location and diameter of reinforcement .All testing shall be carried out as per relevant standards complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge. The test will be conducted from Building P-144 to P-153 Blocks in sekhon vihar. |
| 9 | Brick compression test:-Extracting brick sample from the selected locations of building under study and carrying out its physical inspection test and compression test as per IS:3495(Part-I) at laboratory. All testing shall be carried out as per relevant standards complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge. The test will be conducted from Building P-144 to P-153 Blocks in sekhon vihar. |
| 10 | Windsor Probe Test :- Conducting Windsor Probe Test as per relevant provisions of ASTM C803/C803M and in line with standard practices approved by IS 13311 (Part 2), to estimate the in-situ compressive strength of concrete. The test shall be carried out using a powder-actuated driver, hardened alloy probes, and a calibrated depth gauge. Penetration depth shall be measured and correlated with compressive strength as per manufacturer’s calibration charts. All equipment, testing, and reporting shall be complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge. The test will be conducted from Building P-144 to P-153 Blocks in sekhon vihar. |
| 11 | Structural stability analysis shall be carried out for all buildings to identify any structural deficiencies and assess the overall stability of the structures. This assessment will be based on the results obtained from Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and other relevant tests conducted as part of the investigation. The objective is to evaluate the current condition of the structures, determine their suitability and feasibility for continued intended use, and estimate their remaining service life. All findings and recommendations shall be documented in a comprehensive report, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge and GE for further decision-making. |
| 12 | Report, Inspection and recommendation:- (a) The contractor shall prepare and submit a detailed and authoritative report based on visual inspections, analysis of test data, and results from all structural assessments. The report shall clearly state conclusions and firm recommendations on the structural stability of the building and provide an accurate estimate of its remaining service life for residential use. Where structural deficiencies are found, specific and actionable rehabilitation measures must be proposed. The report shall include sketches pinpointing all test locations and be submitted in Five properly bound hard copies and one digital copy on CD, in a format approved by MES. All documentation must strictly adhere to relevant codes and standards. (b) The final report shall be vetted and endorsed by a professor from an IIT/ NIT or any recognized government engineering college, ensuring its technical credibility and reliability.
