Name of Work:- REPAIR/MAINTENANCE OF SECURITY LIGHT AND CONNECTED ITEMS AT BHISIANA IN DOMESTIC AREA UNDER GE (AF) BHISIANA

1Material and labour for repair, maintenance and restoration of LED light fitting any wattage such as street lights, security lights, flood lights or any other type of external led light fitting, whether fixed in position on poles, high masts, buildings/structures or other supports, including carrying out the work in position or taking down the light fitting to ground level wherever required, inspection and testing of all components, parts, wiring and electrical connections, identification and rectification/replacement of defective components such as electronic drivers, connectors, terminals and other minor components, checking and tightening of loose connections, tightening of loose fitting, replacement of nut bolt, checking and rectification of incoming and outgoing wires at junction boxes, minor repair of wiring and connections, minor repair and maintenance of street light control timer, junction box and associated fittings, including refixing and securely restoring the light fitting to its original position after completion of repair, testing for proper functioning and illumination, complete in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.Note: (i) The quoted unit rate shall be deemed to include the cost of all labour, tools, tackles, lifting/access arrangements, taking down and refixing of light fittings, and all minor consumables and components, including electronic drivers, connectors, terminals, lugs, insulation tape and other incidental items required for completion of the work.(ii) Only the repaired light fitting shall be measured and paid for under this item. No separate payment shall be admissible for inspection, checking, tightening of loose connections, tightening of fittings, or minor repairs carried out in junction boxes, timer/control boxes or other common control arrangements serving one or more light fittings, the cost of which shall be deemed to be included in the quoted unit rate.(iii) In case replacement of an MCB is required, the same shall be measured and paid for separately under the relevant BOQ item.
2Material and labour for repair, maintenance and restoration of light fitting other than LED any wattage such as street lights, security lights, whether fixed in position on poles, buildings/structures or other supports, including carrying out the work in position or taking down the light fitting to ground level wherever required, inspection and testing of all components, parts, wiring and electrical connections, identification and rectification/replacement of defective components such as choke (ballast), igniter, capacitor, lamp, lamp holder, connectors, terminals and other minor components, checking and tightening of loose connections, tightening of loose fitting, replacement of nut bolt, checking and rectification of incoming and outgoing wires at junction boxes, minor repair of wiring and connections, minor repair and maintenance of street light control timer, junction box and associated fittings, including refixing and securely restoring the light fitting to its original position after completion of repair, testing for proper functioning and illumination, complete in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.Note: (i) The quoted unit rate shall be deemed to include the cost of all labour, tools, tackles, lifting/access arrangements, taking down and refixing of light fittings, and all minor consumables and components, including choke (ballast), igniter, capacitor, lamp, lamp holder, connectors, terminals, lugs, insulation tape and other incidental items required for completion of the work.(ii) Only the repaired light fitting shall be measured and paid for under this item. 3Supply and fixing in replacement of energy-efficient LED security light fitting/street light of 60 Watt, complete with pressure die-cast aluminium housing/body with top-opening driver cover for easy maintenance, heat-resistant clear toughened glass and suitable optical system for uniform distribution of light, complete with LED module, LED driver and all necessary internal components, terminals, connectors. The work shall include taking down and removing the existing defective/obsolete light fitting of any make and condition, whether fixed in position on poles, high masts, buildings/structures or other supports, fixing the new LED light fitting on the existing suitable bracket/support, making necessary electrical connections, proper alignment and adjustment, testing for satisfactory illumination and ensuring proper and safe functioning of the complete fitting, complete in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.Technical specification :- (a) Lumen system efficacy of luminaire should be minimum 120 Lumen per watt. (b) Input Voltage range : 140 to 270 volts (c) Temp operating range: Minus 10°C to Plus 50°C (d) Power factor: Minimum 0.95 (e) THD : Max10%. (f) IP rating : IP66. 4Supply and fixing in replacement of energy-efficient LED security light fitting/street light of 45 Watt, complete with pressure die-cast aluminium housing/body with top-opening driver cover for easy maintenance, heat-resistant clear toughened glass and suitable optical system for uniform distribution of light, complete with LED module, LED driver and all necessary internal components, terminals, connectors. The work shall include taking down and removal of existing defective/unserviceable flood light fitting of any make and condition, wherever fixed, and fixing the new flood light on the existing suitable bracket/support, replacement of nut-bolts if required, including necessary electrical connections, proper alignment and adjustment for required wide-angle illumination, testing and commissioning, complete in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.Technical specification :- (a) Lumen system efficacy of luminaire should be minimum 110 Lumen per watt. The work shall include taking down and removal of existing defective/unserviceable flood light fitting of any make and condition, wherever fixed, and fixing the new flood light on the existing suitable bracket/support, replacement of nut-bolts if required, including necessary electrical connections, proper alignment and adjustment for required wide-angle illumination, testing and commissioning, complete in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.Technical specification :- (a) Lumen system efficacy of luminaire should be minimum 110 Lumen per watt. 8Material and labour for electric connection of street light with and including by using two core (2x1.5sqmm) high-conductivity multistranded annealed copper (Class 5 flexible) flat/round cable, PVC insulated and overall PVC sheathed, 1100 volt Conforming to IS 694 : 2010, from junction box to light fitting drawn through existing protection pipe, including taking down old connection wire of any size and condition complete all as specified and as directed.Note :- Protection pipe where required shall be measured and paid separately under appropriate item of BOQ.
9Supply and fixing in replacement security light fitting bracket made out of GI tubing light grade 50mm dia, 1.5 metre long bent to shape at 120 degree angle at half metre from bottom, including two Nos clamps made out of MS Flat iron of size 25x4 mm with suitable nuts and bolts for holding/fixing of bracket on steel/PCC pole including painting to MS clamp and nut bolts with two coats of aluminium paint over a coat of red oxide primer, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
10Supply and fixing in replacement security light fitting bracket made out of GI tubing light grade 40mm dia, 1.5 metre long bent to shape at 120 degree angle at half metre from bottom, including two Nos clamps made out of MS Flat iron of size 25x4 mm with suitable nuts and bolts for holding/fixing of bracket on steel/PCC pole including painting to MS clamp and nut bolts with two coats of aluminium paint over a coat of red oxide primer, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
11Material and labour for preparation and painting of existing steel tubular poles of any height upto 9 m, including all brackets, clamps, supports and other connected steel components of any description, by thoroughly cleaning the existing surface, removing dust, dirt, rust, loose/peeling paint and other loose particles using sandpaper, clean cloth, dry paint brush and other suitable means, and applying one coat of suitable aluminium paint over the entire exposed height of the pole, including brackets/clamps and connected steelwork. The work shall further include marking and painting of 5 Nos. alternate black and yellow strips, each 300 mm wide, from 1.50 m height above PCC coping, using one coat of suitable synthetic enamel paint in black and yellow colours and applying one coat cement-based paint to the exposed PCC pedestal surface,. The pole number shall also be marked in red synthetic enamel paint in letters and figures of not less than 100 mm height at a suitable visible location, complete in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
12Material and labour for preparation and painting of existing PCC poles, including cleaning and preparation of the surface by removing dust, dirt by suitable means, and applying one coat cement-based paint to the exposed PCC pedestal surface, painting of the lower portion of the pole up to 1.50 m height above PCC coping with two coats of suitable synthetic enamel paint in alternate black and white strips, each strip being 300 mm wide, comprising 05 Nos. strips. The pole number shall also be marked in red synthetic enamel paint in letters and figures of not less than 100 mm height at a suitable visible location, complete in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
13Supplying and fixing in replacement outdoor cable junction box of minimum size 210 mm × 155 mm × 92 mm or larger approved size, manufactured from Glass Fibre Reinforced Sheet Moulding Compound (SMC), weatherproof and UV-resistant, having minimum degree of protection IP54 conforming to IEC 60529. The junction box shall be complete with hinged lockable door, gasket, DIN rail, one No. 10 Amp, Single Pole (SP), 10 kA MCB, suitably rated stud-type incoming and outgoing terminals, neutral and earth terminals, cable glands, gland plate and all internal wiring required for proper termination, including stainless steel clamps/brackets, screws, nuts, bolts, washers, pole mounting straps (where required), wall plugs, anchor fasteners and all other necessary fixing accessories for mounting on poles, walls or other existing structures, complete with testing and commissioning, all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
14Supply and fixing in replacement factory made street light timer box suitable size, IP54 protection class, outdoor type made out of CRCA sheet powder coated, having provision for front opening with hinges single door including locking arrangements, including cable glands for each cable to make it weather and vermin proof, and shall be mounted on angle iron frame and 04 No legs made from angle of size 25 x25 x4mm with suitable length, frame and legs duly spray painted internally and externally with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide primer, pre-wired circuit should be multistrand single core FRLSH min size of 10 Sqmm copper cable, fitted with and including the following accessories complete all specified and as directed :-(i) MCCB 63 Amp, TPN, 25KA - 01 No (ii) Contactor rating 65Amp 3pole/230V(iii) Digital timer programmable switch for street light ON/OFF(iv) LED Indicated Lamps and selector switchNote :- Legs shall be grouted in PCC with suitable ground clearance, PCC work, Excavation and earth work and making good disturbed surfaces shall be measured and paid separately under appropriate item of BOQ.
15Supply, installing, commissioning and testing factory made Sheet metal enclosure/ LT Bus bar chamber (out door for 415 volts, 3 phase, 4 wire AC supply) cubical type of size 300X300X200mm, minimum IP-54 class protection, made out of 3.15 mm thick CRCA epoxy powder coated sheet, factory fabricated having modern fabrication and testing process followed by powder coat painting having thickness not less than 100 microns, having 4 Nos aluminium bus bar rated 100Amp and shall be insulated with colour code heat shrinkable sleeve and shall be mounted on suitable size \\"F\\" class insulator, having front opening with hinges single door including locking arrangements (chromium plated 19 mm dia fancy lock) including provision of rubber beading and brass cable glands for each cable to make it weather and vermin proof, provision of air fins for ventilation, Chamber shall be mounted on angle iron frame and 04 No legs made from angle of size 25 x25 x4mm with suitable length, frame and legs duly spray painted internally and externally with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide primer, complete all as specified and as directed.Note :- (i) Legs shall be grouted in PCC with suitable ground clearance, PCC work, Excavation and earth work and making good disturbed surfaces shall be measured and paid separately under appropriate item of BOQ.(ii) The item shall also include dismantling, disconnecting, taking out the existing box complete with all fittings and accessories, and removing the same from the site
16Supply and fixing in replacement MCB any curve as per existing, suitable for 240 volts AC supply, 40-63 Amps, SPN with over load and short circuit protection and rupturing capacity not less than 10 KA, conforming to IEC 60947-2, mounted and connected in the existing distribution board/panel. Including necessary modifications/adjustments for proper fitment in the existing space, termination of incoming and outgoing connections, tightening of all terminals, testing for satisfactory operation and commissioning, complete in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
17Supply and fixing in replacement MCB any curve as per existing, suitable for 240 volts AC supply, 06-32 Amps, SP with over load and short circuit protection and rupturing capacity not less than 10 KA, conforming to IEC 60947-2, mounted and connected in the existing distribution board/panel. Including necessary modifications/adjustments for proper fitment in the existing space, termination of incoming and outgoing connections, tightening of all terminals, testing for satisfactory operation and commissioning, complete in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
18Excavation in trenches (Manual), not exceeding 1.5m wide and not exceeding 1.5m in depth for pipe line, cable in trenches etc., not exceeding 10 Sqm on plan and getting out in any type of soft including trimming the sides and forming bottom surfaces to required levels complete all as specified and as directed.
19Returning, filling including spreading, leveling watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25cm thick in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and as directed.
20Removing excavated material (surplus soil) to a distance not exceeding 50 m and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 metre above the starting point complete all as specified and as directed.
21Taking out old unserviceable under ground LT XLPE/PVC cable of any size from trenches/wall/roof/road/pipe/pole including taking out layer of protection cover/bricks any type and removing from the site complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.(Excavation, earth work, shall be measured and paid separately under appropriate item of BOQ).
22Supply, laying, fixing and drawing XLPE LT Cable of size 6 Sqmm, 2 core, 1100 Volt grade heavy duty with XLPE insulated, stranded aluminium conductor served with an inner sheathening of PVC tape armoured with Galvanized steel strip or wire and over all PVC Sheathed stranded conductor conforming to IS- 7098 (Part-I) with latest amendments, in trenches, on floors, along poles, walls or any other open surface, including drawing the cable through protection pipes/conduits wherever required, dressing, aligning and securing the cable in position with necessary minor consumables such as binding wire, saddles etc, and making necessary end connections including supply and fixing of suitable size thimbles and testing, complete in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
23Supply, laying, fixing and drawing XLPE LT Cable of size 10 Sqmm, 4 core, 1100 Volt grade heavy duty with XLPE insulated, stranded aluminium conductor served with an inner sheathening of PVC tape armoured with Galvanized steel strip or wire and over all PVC Sheathed stranded conductor conforming to IS- 7098 (Part-I) with latest amendments, in trenches, on floors, along poles, walls or any other open surface, including drawing the cable through protection pipes/conduits wherever required, dressing, aligning and securing the cable in position with necessary minor consumables such as binding wire, saddles etc, and making necessary end connections including supply and fixing of suitable size thimbles and testing, complete in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
24Supply, laying, fixing and drawing XLPE LT Cable of size 16 Sqmm, 4 core, 1100 Volt grade heavy duty with XLPE insulated, stranded aluminium conductor served with an inner sheathening of PVC tape armoured with Galvanized steel strip or wire and over all PVC Sheathed stranded conductor conforming to IS- 7098 (Part-I) with latest amendments, in trenches, on floors, along poles, walls or any other open surface, including drawing the cable through protection pipes/conduits wherever required, dressing, aligning and securing the cable in position with necessary minor consumables such as binding wire, saddles etc, and making necessary end connections including supply and fixing of suitable size thimbles and testing, complete in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
25Supply and laying High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Double Wall Corrugated (DWC) non metalic pipe designed for underground cable management, Resistance to compression -type 450, resistance to impact -normal, resistance to bending - pliable, resistance to external influence- ingress protection IP67, resistance against corrosion - without protection, resistance to flame propagation-Non flame propagation, Nominal outside diameter 63mm, minimum inside diameter 47mm confirming to IS 16205 (Part-24) -2017 Including all necessary accessories such as couplers, bends, sockets, and jointing materials, complete all as specified and as directed.
26Supply and fixing GI tubing, galvanized, light grade, ISI marked, of 15 mm nominal bore, laid in trenches, on floors, or fixed along poles, walls, ceilings or other surfaces as required for protection of earth strips and/or cables, including all necessary pipe fittings such as elbows, tees, sockets, couplers and other accessories, cutting, threading, bending and jointing as required, and fixing in position with suitable size MS clamps, saddles, spacer blocks, nuts, bolts, washers and other fixing accessories as per site requirement, including taking down/out old pipe complete in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
27Supply and fixing GI tubing, galvanized, light grade, ISI marked, of 50 mm nominal bore, laid in trenches, on floors, or fixed along poles, walls, ceilings or other surfaces as required for protection of earth strips and/or cables, including all necessary pipe fittings such as elbows, tees, sockets, couplers and other accessories, cutting, threading, bending and jointing as required, and fixing in position with suitable size MS clamps, saddles, spacer blocks, nuts, bolts, washers and other fixing accessories as per site requirement, including taking down/out old pipe complete in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
28Material and labour for dismantling PCC around existing poles and taking out old PCC poles of any height and size, whether broken above ground level, broken into parts or complete with embedded portion, from any condition, including excavation as required and careful removal of the pole. The item shall also include dismantling all connected fittings and accessories, such as light fittings, brackets, clamps, junction boxes, stay sets, cable supports and any other attachments, without causing unnecessary damage, loading, transporting and depositing the dismantled pole and all recoverable fittings at the MES AGE (E/M) Store or at any other location as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. The work shall include backfilling of the excavation, dressing and making good the disturbed ground surface, and all labour, tools & plant, consumables and incidental works required for satisfactory completion, complete in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
29Material and labour for PCC (1:3:6) type C-2 using 40 mm graded crushed stone aggregate as in foundation, around the poles/stay etc complete all as specified and as directed.(Note :- Volume of pole / strut / stays embedded in concrete shall be deducted for the purpose of payment)
30Material and labour for PCC (1:2:4) type B-1, using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggregate as in coping, pedestal & similar work including weathering, slightly rounded or chamfered angles and throating including necessary form work, finishing the exposed surfaces of the concrete even & smooth without using extra cement, complete all as specified and as directed.(Note :- Volume of pole / strut / stays embedded in concrete shall be deducted for the purpose of payment)
31Material and labour for supplying and erecting GI pipe, 80 mm bore, medium grade, ISI marked, for use as a street light/flood light pole, of overall length 6.00 metres including planting depth, complete with mild steel base plate of minimum size 130 mm × 130 mm and top cover plate of 80 mm diameter for closing the open end of the pipe, including necessary welding and all connected works. 32Material and labour for supplying and fixing light fitting bracket fabricated from GI tubing, light grade, 25 mm diameter and 1.50 metre long, bent to the required shape at an angle of 120 degrees at a distance of 0.50 metre from the bottom end, including all necessary cutting, bending, fixing, welding and connected works, complete in all respects as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.Note: MS clamps and nuts and bolts required for fixing the bracket shall be measured and paid for separately under the respective BOQ items.
33Material and labour for supplying and fixing clamps fabricated from MS flat iron, 25 mm × 4 mm, including suitable nuts and bolts, for holding and fixing light fitting brackets to poles and for holding and fixing flood lights, including necessary cutting, bending, shaping, drilling and all connected works. The MS clamps and nuts and bolts shall be cleaned and painted with one coat of red oxide primer followed by two coats of aluminum paint, complete in all respects as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
34GENERAL NOTES FOR ALL ITEMS OF BOQ(a) The Contractor’s authorized representative shall report to the concerned JE (E/M) at 0900 hrs daily to collect the list of defective street light fittings. The Contractor shall carry out the required repair/maintenance and submit a completion report to the concerned JE (E/M) on the same day before 1630 hrs, indicating the defects attended to and the street lights restored to serviceable condition.(b) The Contractor shall rectify the reported defects and make each defective street light fully functional within 24 hours from the time the list of defective street lights is handed over to the Contractor or his authorized representative by the concerned JE (E/M). In case any street light is not made functional within the stipulated period, for whatever reason attributable to the Contractor, an amount of Rs. 80/- per such defective street light per day shall be recovered from the amount due to the Contractor through the RAR/Final Bill. The recovery shall continue for each day of delay until the defective street light is restored to proper working condition. If the nature of complaint is such that it cannot be completed within the stipulated time, the contractor shall immediately bring the matter to the notice of the GE/Engineer-in-Charge. The permissible time for completion shall then be decided by the GE/EIC based on the merits of the case.(c) The Contractor shall ensure adequate manpower at all times to meet the specified response and completion period.(d) The components of the existing LT Panel/Distribution Board (DB)/Junction box/Bus bar chamber, such as MCBs, MCCBs, timer switches etc, wherever specified under the respective BOQ items, shall be supplied and replaced with new components, matching the existing rating, size, model or equivalent as approved by the Engineer-in-Charge so that the panel/DB/Junction box/Bus bar chamber door shall close properly without obstruction, maintaining the original degree of protection, accessibility and operational safety.(h) Drawing of LT panel/Feeder pillar box/Bus bar chamber shall be approved by GE before fabrication
