| 21 | Supply, precision cutting to required dimensions, and laying flat in position Heavy-Duty Structural Alkali-Resistant (AR) Glass Fiber Mesh of weight not less than 350 GSM to 400 GSM, having an open square aperture/grid size of 25 mm x 25 mm (with a tolerance limit of +/- 5%). The mesh shall be engineered from continuous high-tensile E-glass/C-glass fiber filaments and treated with a specialized anti-alkali protective polymer coating to resist chemical degradation in highly alkaline cement concrete environments. The mesh must achieve a Minimum Tensile Strength of 40 kN/m in both warp and weft directions, with an elongation at break not exceeding 4.5% to ensure superior structural stability. To be unrolled and stretched flat over the prepared existing PCC base layer, lifted and supported on 25-30 mm high concrete/PVC spacer blocks to ensure complete encapsulation from underneath, providing a minimum overlapping of 100 mm at all joints and securely anchored to prevent any displacement or wrinkling during subsequent 150 mm thick concrete pouring operations. Rate shall include the cost of approved high-tensile glass fiber mesh material, transport to site, storage, specialized cutting tools, placement labor, cover blocks, mandatory site/laboratory tensile testing, and all allowances for cutting wastages, all as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 22 | Supply and application of high-performance, two-component, solvent-free, moisture-tolerant structural-grade Epoxy Bonding Agent conforming to IS 9197 and ASTM C881 Type II, Grade 2, Class B & C, specifically designed for monolithic bonding between existing PCC base and new High-Strength Concrete Hard Standing Pavement. The material shall consist of a base resin and hardener mixed in the manufacturer's specified ratio, formulated to achieve a slant-shear bond strength exceeding 14 N/mm² at 14 days, ensuring zero bond-line failure under severe dynamic vehicular loads and thermal cycles. The existing PCC substrate shall be mechanically hacked (4-5 mm deep), scoured, and cleaned of all dust, cement laitance, and grease using high-pressure water jets to achieve a damp-dry texture. The epoxy components shall be machine-mixed using a slow-speed drill mixer (approx. 400 RPM) until a uniform grey, streak-free color is achieved, and applied continuously with a stiff brush or roller at a consumption rate of 2.0 to 3.0 sq.m per kg. Freshly batched M40 grade concrete must be poured, mechanical-vibrated, and finished while the applied epoxy layer remains wet and tacky (strictly within its specified pot-life). Rate shall include cost of approved epoxy chemical (Sikadur-32 LP / Fosroc Nitobond EP / Dr. Fixit Epoxy Bonding Agent), mechanical surface preparation, cleaning, cold-weather application measures, labor, tools, and testing requirements, all as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge.\\" |
