| 19 | Notes for item No. 12.00 to 17.00:(a) The work pertaining to periodical services shall be executed as per MoU between tenderer and one of the manufacturers mentioned in the contract as per MoU performa attached at Serial page No. 116 & 117. The MoU shall be duly signed by an officer not below the rank/ designation of Area Sales Manager of the paint company.(b) The Contractor shall upload with the documents under Cover I \\"Memoradum of Understanding\\" (MoU), failing which the bid shall not be opened and shall be liable to rejected.(c) The painting work shall be executed only by applicators authorised by the concerned paint manufacturer/ company. The Contractor shall submit, along with the MoU, a valid certificate from the paint company confirming that the proposed applicators are authorised to undertake the specified painting work. The certificate shall be duly signed by an officer not below the rank/ designation of Area Sales Manager of the paint company. |
| 20 | Notes contd...(d) Within 30 days from date of isssue of work order No. 1, The entire quantity of material to be used in the painting work shall be calculated and brought to site in a single lot and handed over to Engineer-in-Charge, failing which the contract will be liable to be cancellled under condition 54 of IAFW-2249. Payment of the paint materials shall only be made after verification of PVs and Challan from the company through Mail.(e) preparatory works i.e. scrapping of surfaces and coneected items except paint item shall be started as soon as the work order No.1 is issued. However, items connected with the incorporation of paint material brought at site shall only be allowed to be executed after the authenticity of the material is establisted by paint company.(f) Material will be kept in the custody of MES rep and will be issued to the authorised applicator as per requirement.(g) Packing material/ empty buckets will not be handed over to the contractor and will be destroyed after completion of work through a BOO to be convene by GE. |
| 21 | Notes contd...(h) Preparation of plastered or unplastered surface or removal of existing treatment by scrapping of walls, chajjas, ceilings, fins, facias etc. shall be done using mechanical sander with internal dust extraction system for clean environment.(j) The painting work shall be carried out using suitable heavy-duty electric airless paint spraying equipment compatible with the paint system/ materials specified by the paint manufacturer. The electric airless sprayer shall have the following capabilities: (i) Power supply: 220–240 V, single phase, or as suitable for the equipment. (ii) Motor capacity: approx 1000 W to 2200 W (approx. 0.8 HP to 1.5 HP). (iii) Maximum working pressure: 180–200 bar (approx 2600–3000 PSI) (iv) Flow rate: 1.50 to 10 Litres per minute as per site requirements. (v) The equipment shall be suitable for application of emulsion paints, primers, latex/ distemper and interior/ exterior enamel coatings, as applicable. (vi) High-pressure hose of adequate length, generally 15–30 metre or as required for proper execution of the work, shall be provided. |

Rate quoted against items shall be deemed to include all necessary scaffolding, trestles, ladders, cradles and protective measures etc., wherever required. Contractor shall quote their rates accordingly keeping this aspect in mind.(l) Buildings will be handed over to the contractor in a phased manner and subsequently to the authorised applicator only after completion of civil work like plastering/ repairing as required.(m) Entire work will be divided into four stages as under and will be certified by a company technical rep whether the stages completed are as per manufacturer’s instruction and passed by Engr-in-Charge/ GE:-(i) State :1 Preliminary Inspection (ii) Stage 2: Preparation of surface(iii) Stage 3: Priming / Base Coat(iv) Stage 4: Final coat of painting |
| 23 | Notes contd...(n) Stage passing register will be properly maintained duly signed by all Concerned.(o) The contractor shall submit manufacturer generated 05 years warranty card for each building during submission of RAR and Final Bill.(p) A guarantee amount @ 10% will be kept as reserve till completion of warranty period and will be released thereafter.
