Name of Work:- Reconstruction of pavement with distress surface – Bay No. 6 to Vehicular lane adjacent to Bay No. 7L at NSCBI Airport, Kolkata.

1Excavation in soil with hydraulic excavator including cutting and loading in tippers, trimming of bottom and side slopes, in accordance with requirements of lines, grades and cross section and transporting to identified site within all lifts and lead within airport premises all complete as per directions of Engineer-in-Charge.
2Levelling and grading by transporting available excavated earth from stacks using mechanical means to identified location within airport premises, spreading, grading to required slope and compacting to meet requirement of MORTH table 300-2. all complete, as per the direction of E-I-C..
3Providing and laying mixture of stone dust(80%) and yellow Sand (20%) by Mix in Place Method in layers not exceeding 20 cm (compacted) in thickness including watering and consolidating each layer with vibratory road roller under optimum moisture content (+1% to -2% of the OMC) to give density not less than 95% of the maximum modified standard proctor density including leveling, fine dressing to the required camber, grade and slope etc. complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge( payment to be made for the compacted quantity only). [ Note:i) 'k' value of not less than 30MN/m³ to be achieved on top of this ground improvement layer . Payment of test for obtaining k value shall be done seperately as per BOQ item no.23]ii) Nothing extra will be paid for mixing sand & dust.
4Preparation of granular sub-base by providing close graded material, conforming to specification mixing in a mechanical mix plant at OMC, carriage of mixed material by mechanical transport to work site, for all leads and lifts, spreading in uniform layers of specified thickness with mechanical means including neatly leveling & dressing on prepared surface and compacting with vibratory power roller to achieve the desired density, with material conforming to Grade-I (size range 75 mm to 0.075 mm) having CBR Value-30, all complete and as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.
5Providing, laying, spreading and compacting graded stone aggregate (size range 53 mm to 0.075 mm) to wet mix macadam (WMM) specification including premixing the Material with water at OMC in mechanical mix plant, carriage of mixed Material by mechanical transport to site, for all leads & lifts, laying in uniform layers with mechanical paver finisher in sub- base / base course on well prepared surface and compacting with vibratory roller of 8 to 10 tonne capacity to achieve the desired density, all complete as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-charge.
6Providing and laying dry lean cement concrete with coarse over a prepared sub-grade with coarse and fine aggregate conforming to IS: 383, the size of coarse aggregate not exceeding 26.5 mm, aggregate cement ratio not to exceed 15:1, aggregate gradation after blending to be as per specifications, cement content not to be less than 150 kg/ cum, optimum moisture content to be determined during trial length construction, concrete strength not to be less than 10 Mpa at 7 days, mixed in a batching plant as per mix design, transported to site, laid with a paver with electronic sensor, compacting with 8-10 tonnes vibratory roller, finishing and curing etc. all complete as per specification and direction of Engineer-in-charge.
7Providing and laying Pavement Quality Concrete (PQC) produced in a batching and mixing plant having a Characteristic flexural strength i.e. flexural strength of 4.1MPa at 28 days using Portland Pozzolana Cement conforming as per relevant IS codes, to be mixed at site, with 0.5% Super plasticizer by mass of cementitious material, fine aggregate, graded stone aggregates of 40 mm nominal size in appropriate proportion as per specification and job mix formula, laid in panels as per drawings/design as approved by the Engineer-In-Charge using Slip Form Paver or Fixed form paver including anti friction layer, joint filler board, making necessary provision for expansion, dummy and construction joint including filling with Polysulphide sealant of approved make, curing and making profile, complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge and specifications.The item for execution shall include all operations making pavement for intended use but not limited to following:(i) Polyethylene sheet (White in color) of thickness 400 micron conforming to IS: 2508 with 6mm thick fine sand layer.(ii) Providing and laying in position for expansion joint, 25mm thick pre-cut Synthetic joint filler board of approved make conforming to IS:1838(part 3)-2011, 45 mm from top (to be removed at the time of filling of Polysulphide sealant).(iii) Mechanically cutting dummy joints 3mm wide x 1/3rd thickness of slab which is subsequently widened to 10mm for the top 25mm depth and construction joints 10mm wide x 25mm deep as per specification.(iv) Providing and laying in position Polysulphide sealant of approved make conforming to BS-5212-1990 or IS: 11433-1995 in expansion/ construction / dummy joints including rounding off edges, applying 2 coats of approved primer compatible with the brand of Polysulphide and preparing the surface and applying masking tape along the edge of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealant on top surface and to give neat finish to the sealant and removing the masking tape after application of sealant etc. as per the details below:(a) Expansion Joints of size 25 mm wide and 10 mm deep over 30mm dia expanded closed-cell Polyethylene foam back-up/backer rod of minimum density 22 Kg/Cum, as per manufacturer’s specifications and sketch.(b) Construction Joints of size 10 mm wide and 10 mm deep over 12mm dia expanded closed-cell Polyethylene foam back-up/backer rod of minimum density 22 Kg/Cum, as per manufacturer’s specifications and sketch.(c) Dummy Joints of size 10 mm wide and 10 mm deep over 12 mm dia expanded closed-cell Polyethylene foam back-up/backer rod of minimum density 22 Kg/Cum, as per manufacturer’s specifications and sketch. (v) Making profile as per DGCA CAR, panel drawing showing dummy, construction,expansion joints location.Note:(i) Areas inaccessible to paving equipment shall be constructed by manual/hand guided method. Areas in which manual/hand guided methods of construction becomeindispensable shall be got approved by the Engineer-in-Charge in writing in advance.(ii) The quantity of cement, type of cement and super plasticizer for one Cum. of finished concrete specified are for tendering purpose only. The contractor shall quote his rates assuming quantity of Portland Pozzolana Cement as 400 Kg cement. In addition, if the actual quantity of cement & super plasticizer required as per laboratory mix design varies from the quantity assumed above, necessary cost adjustment for deviation in the quantity of cement and super plasticizer as per mix design, if any, shall be done as per the rate of cement and super plasticizer in actual supply voucher from manufacturer/authorized dealer at the time of execution. In the case of authorized distributor, the rate may be authenticated by the manufacturer. The rate of cement and super plasticizer exclusive of GST shall only be considered for payment.
8Providing and laying in position cement concrete of specified grade excluding the cost of centering and shuttering - All work up to plinth level : 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand (zone-III) derived from natural sources : 4 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size derived from natural sources)
9Providing and laying in position cement concrete of specified grade excluding the cost of centering and shuttering - All work up to plinth level : 1:3:6 (1 Cement : 3 coarse sand (zone-III) derived from natural sources : 6 graded stone aggregate 40 mm nominal size derived from natural sources)
10Providing and laying in position cement concrete of specified grade excluding the cost of centering and shuttering - All work up to plinth level : 1:4:8 (1 Cement : 4 coarse sand (zone-III) derived from natural sources : 8 graded stone aggregate 40 mm nominal size derived from natural sources)
11Providing and laying in position ready mixed or site batched design mix cement concrete for reinforced cement concrete work ; using coarse aggregate and fine aggregate derived from natural sources, Portland Pozzolana cement, admixtures in recommended proportions as per IS: 9103 to accelerate / retard setting of concrete, to improve durability and workability without impairing strength; including pumping of concrete to site of laying, curing, carriage for all leads; but excluding the cost of centering, shuttering, finishing and reinforcement as per direction of the engineer-in-charge; for the following grades of concrete.Note: Extra cement up to 10% of the minimum specified cement content in design mix shall be payable separately. In case the cement content in design mix is more than 110% of the specified minimum cement content, the contractor shall have discretion to either re-design the mix or bear the cost of extra cement.All works upto plinth levelConcrete of M35 grade with minimum cement content of 370 kg /cum

18Dismantling of cement concrete pavement by mechanical means using pneumatic machinery, breaking to pieces and disposal of dismantled materials , all complete as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
19Dismantling of reinforced cement concrete grade M-20 & above and disposal of dismentled material with all lifts and lead within airport premises all complete as per direction of E-I-C.
20Supply, filling , spreading & leveling stone boulders of size range 200mm to 300 mm and filling void with sand in Box culverts, Two Vent Box culverts in the required thickness for all leads & lifts, all complete as per direction of E-I-C.
21Providing and fixing PVC pipes in top slab of drain/culvert for providing slots as per drawing complete as per direction of Engineer in Charge. 50mm dia
22Credit item for taking away excavated earth (mixed with dismantled pavement debris) obtained during execution of work as per direction of Engineer in Charge. The contractor shall quote the rate considering all incidental costs involve in the work such as transportation costs, loading costs, stacking costs, unloading costs etc. including associated disposal costs and nothing shall be reimbursed on any account.Note: The Reserve Price of this item is Rs. 43.50/- per cum. Please quote the rate not less that Rs 43.50/- per cum. If any bidder quotes rate less that Rs.43.50/- per cum, the deduction rate of this item will be treated as Rs 43.50/- per cum and accordingly his tender will be evaluated.
23Conducting necessary test to determine k-value [(Modulus of subgrade reaction) and determination of field density, moisture content and assesing the k-value after meeting necessary correction of saturation of soil in field as per IS 9214-1979 (reaffirmed 2007) with 75 cm dia circular plate] i/c submission of Soil Report of each assignment as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. The Test Report should be vetted by NIT/IIT.
24Providing and applying cold applied water base road marking paint (retro-reflective) of specified shade/ colour by fully/ semiautomatic cold applied water base road marking apint paint applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser, driven by experienced operator on road surface including cost of material, labour, T&P, cleaning of the road surface, all dirt, seals, oil, grease and foreign material etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge and accordance with applicable specifications.
25Painting with epoxy paint of approved brand and manufacture to give an even shade : Two or more coats on new work
26Credit item for taking away old TMT bars from site complete as per direction of E-I-C.Note: The Price of this item is Rs. 24.57/- per kg. Please quote the rate not less that Rs 24.57/- per kg. If any bidder quotes rate less that Rs.24.57/- per kg, the deduction rate of this item will be treated as Rs 24.57/- per kg and accordingly his tender will be evaluated.
27Vetting of structural drawings of box culvert under Newly constructed Apron at NSCBI Airport, Kolkata from IIT/NIT. The submission of vetted structural drawings should include one soft copy (pen drive/via email) and three nos. of duly signed hard copies.
28Carrying out of Non-destructive tests of newly constructed RCC drain, to ascertain the structural stability/load carrying capacity to cater the load of E-category Aircraft at NSCBI Airport Kolkata through IITs/NITs including duly vetting and submission of reports. Note:(i) The submission of vetted reports should include one soft copy (pen drive/via email) and three nos. of duly signed hard copies.(ii) This test is additional to the mandatory routine tests conducted by agency.
29Design of circuits as per DGCA CAR / ICAO and compatible to exsting ILCMS requirement, GFC and As Built drawings of the present work and updating the master AGL drawing as on date as per DGCA CAR / ICAO with GPS coordiantes and documentation for lighting layout of primary cable, secondary cable, isolating transformer, LED fittings, earthing, circuit design etc. for the AGL works and submission (both soft copies in ESSD and hard copies) to AAI and further submission to DGCA for different level approval including liasoning and facilitating as required for Commissioing level approval from DGCA etc. complete as required.
30Supply and testing of Single Channel Addressable Switch Devices ( Honeywell model:V4+ or latest version), IP-68, directly buried under soil / water for selective switching and monitoring of one lamp in constant current series circuits ( AGL curcuits) compatible to LED and Halogen fittings and exitings ILCMS etc. complete as required.
31Integration, testing and commissioning of the new AGL installation to the existing ILCMS including all required hardwares like communication cable, switch, connector etc. (except ASD) complete as required.
32Graphics modification of the existing ILCMS as per as-built drawing etc. complete as required.

36Supply of FAA certified /complied, airfield ground lighting cable, 1Cx 6 sq. mm, 5 KV grade, multi stranded tinned copper conductor, tinned copper braid shielded (maximum shield resistance shall not be more than 5 ohm / KM at ambient temperature of 50 degree Centigrade), XLPE insulated with extruded inner semiconductor and taped outer semiconductor layer compatible to existing ILCMS etc. complete as required.
37Supply of FAA certified /complied 6 sq. mm size, 5 KV grade dry type plug and receptacle of type I, class 'B' primary connector kit (L-823 style 3 & 10 of FAA AC) with field attachment and suitable for shielded airfield cable with earthing glands, nuts and bolts and IS marked 1X4 sq. mm tinned copper insulated earth continuity wire, copper thimbles and compatible to the existing ILCMS as per specifications etc. as required.
38Supply of FAA certified /complied, 2C x 4 sq.mm. 600V grade flexible annealed tinned copper conductor secondary cable for Airport lighting circuits compatible to existing ILCMS etc. complete as required.
39Supply of Fire retardant Yellow/Green 4 sq. mm Single Core PVC Insulated Industrial Grade Copper Conductor (Unsheathed) Flexible Cables 1.1 kV grade confirming to IS 694:2010 etc. complete as required. .
40Supply of FAA certified /complied, Secondary connector kit (L-823 style 5 & 12 of FAA AC) suitable for connection 2X 4 sq. mm multi stranded annealed conductor, unshielded secondary airfield lighting cables as per specification etc. complete as required.
41Laying of one number PVC insulated & PVC sheathed armoured / unarmoured aluminium / copper conductor AFL / power cable of voltage grade exceeding 1.1 KV but not exceeding 11 KV of size not exceeding 25 sq. mm. in the existing cable duct / masonry trench / pipes etc. as required, including IR testing to comply DGCA CAR / ICAO, establishing shield continuity and replacing the cables if IR values is found less than as per ICAO requirement.
42Laying of one number PVC/XLPE insulated & PVC sheathed armoured / unarmoured AFL / power cable of voltage grade not exceeding 1.1 KV of size not exceeding 25 sq. mm. in the existing cable duct / masonry trench /pipes etc. as required including megger testing and replacing the cables if IR values is found less than as per ICAO requirement or if instructed by Engineer-In-Charge.
43Making connection of 5 KV grade , 6 Sq. mm Copper conductor Screened cable with plug & receptacle, 1 X 4 sqmm. tinned copper insulated earth continuity wire, copper lugs for screen , earth point of transformers and IT box body earthing etc. complete as required by engaging competancy mapped OEM trained manpower. The job includes supply and taping (75mm long with 50% overlap) of two layer of HT then two layer of PVC tapes at every junction/water ingress point of connection including opening and retaping as required to establish the shield continuity suitable for existing ILCMS.
44Making connection of 2 X 4 sq. mm multi stranded copper conductor secondary airfield lighting cables with secondary connector kit (plug and receptacle) etc complete as required by engaging competancy mapped OEM trained manpower. The job includes supply and taping (75mm long with 50% overlap) of two layer of HT then two layer of PVC tapes at every junction/water ingress point of connection.
45Design fabrication, supply of MS isolating transformer housing box of size 750(L)X350(W)X550 (D) as per site requirement for load bearing capacity of a rolling category-E aircraft made out of 6 mm (min.) thick MS sheet and counter sunk top cover 10 mm thick (min.) MS sheet, necessary top coveer supports, extended earth studs both for fittings as well as GI wires and ASD / TRF hanging arrnagement, cutting of holes etc. All inserts should be suitable for M-10 size bolt i/c supply of M 10 SS Bolts and nuts including painting of box with one coat of primer & two coats of black enamel paint and installation with concrete work / existing trench in soil / in gravel (excluding concrete or excavation work) along with water drainage connection at bottom, including sloping as per DGCA CAR requirement, pipe fixing, Final painting after installation, lettering, numbering and as per the direction of Engineer-In-Charge etc. complete as required.
46Earthing with G.I. earth pipe 4.5 meter long, 40 mm dia including accessories, and providing enclosure of size 750mm x 350 mm x 550 mm ( H) made out 6 mm thick MS sheet and top cover 10 mm thick MS sheet ( counter shunk fitting, M-10 nuts and bolts.), welding, having locking arrangement and watering arrangement etc. with charcoal/ coke and salt as required.
47Providing laying and fixing 6 SWG dia G.I. wire on surface or in recess (in existing pipe and/or along with submain wiring/cable) for loop earthing etc.complete as required.
48Supply and Laying of 1 run X 63 mm dia (OD) HDPE pipe (PE-63, PN-6, UV stabilized, conforming to IS 4984 with IS mark) along with laying of 4mm dia PP rope through the pipe, providing end caps along with all necessary accessories like socket, bend, couplers etc., if required, by cutting the DRLC/concrete/bitumen of groove size at least 60mm(W) X 100mm (D) using cutting saw machine, MS clamping the pipe, rolling etc. including all required transportation, generator, water arrangement etc. complete as required as per the direction of Engineer-In-Charge.
49Supply & Laying of 1 run X 63 mm dia (OD) HDPE pipe (PE-63, PN-6, UV stabilized, conforming to IS 4984 with IS mark) along with laying of 4mm dia PP rope through the pipe complete with fitting, cuttings, jointing, MS clamping in the existing trench or along with PQC / DRLC work alongwith its necessary accessories like socket, bend, coupler etc., if required, etc. complete as required as per the direction of Engineer-In-Charge.
50Supply & Laying of 1 run x 63-mm dia (OD) HDPE pipe (PE-63, PN-6, UV stabilized, conforming to IS 4984 with IS mark) alongwith its necessary accessories like coupler,end plugs etc., if required, below the ground (i/c Road crossing, Cement concrete Apron Area) at a depth of 3.5 m to 6 m through horizontal directional drilling after doing Ground Penetrating radar survey, along with laying of 4mm dia PP rope through the pipe and submitting its report of the Underground Utilities etc. complete as required as per the direction of Engineer-In-Charge.
51Supply and Laying of 1 run X 40 mm dia (OD) HDPE pipe (PE-63, PN-6, UV stabilized, conforming to IS 4984 with IS mark) along with laying of 4mm dia PP rope through the pipe, providing end cap at one end and end cap or GI / PVC box (Minimum size 100mmX100 mm X 75 mm) at other end before PQC/bitumen work as applicable, along with all necessary accessories like socket, bend, couplers etc., if required, by cutting the DRLC/concrete/bitumen of groove size at least 60mm(W) X 100mm (D) using cutting saw machine, MS clamping the pipe and back filling, rolling etc. including all required transportation, generator, water arrangement etc. complete as required as per the direction of Engineer-In-Charge.
52Core cutting at cement / asphaltic area like runways/ taxiways/ apron etc.at the designated location as per the existing fittings coordinates / approved design, outer core suitable for 200 mm dia inset fittings as per site requirement upto the depth as per OEM installation manual and then upto the existing cable duct / pipe end with 90-100 mm inner core cutting , arranging power supply with the help of DG sets and water arrangement , removing core and retrieving the pipe rope suitable for cable pulling condition from the bottom as applicable, cleaning, disposing debris upto 5 KM away, etc. complete as required including suitable cover for plugging the holes and handing over as ready for inset fittings installations etc. complete as required.
53Installations of 200 mm dia shallow base can by using OEM (of fitting) manufactured jig engaging competancy mapped OEM trained manpower preceded by GPS based survey of the approved design coordinates complying to ICAO / DGCA CAR requirement. The job includes supplying and fixing 75mm OD HDPE pipe in inner core up to the pipe at bottom as applicable, epoxy quick setting grouts like nitomortar-S at bottom and dobefil on sides, arranging water & DG power supply, cleaning, disposing debris upto 10 KM away etc. complete as required including installation, testing and commissioning of inset fittings, connections with isolating transformers, ASD, earthing connections, fittings and fixing numbering and meggering etc. complete as required.
54Kerf cutting with machine in taxiway/runway/apron of PQC/bituminous surface of depth upto 90 mm and width minimum 20 mm, using expansion joints / construction joints as far as possible, cleaning, drying, disposing FODs as directed by E-I-C including laying 1 or 2 nos secondary lead/LT cable, earth wire ( generally conforming ICAO Doc- 9157, Part-5) by wrapping cotton tape with 50% overlapping, providing suiable sealant for airfield application i.e polysulphide or polyurethane as applicable, primar, backer rod (on top and bottom) along with arranging water bowser, dust arrestor, blower, mobile DG sets etc. complete as required to work in an operational airport.
55Kerf cutting with machine in taxiway/runway/apron of PQC/bituminous surface of depth upto 110 mm and width minimum 20 mm, using expansion joints / construction joints as far as possible, cleaning, drying, disposing FODs as directed including laying 3 or 4 nos secondary lead, earth wire ( generally conforming ICAO Doc- 9157, Part-5) by wrapping cotton tape with 50% overlapping, providing suiable sealant for airfield application i.e polysulphide or polyurethane as applicable, primar, backer rod (on top and bottom) along with arranging water bowser, dust arrestor, blower, mobile DG sets etc. complete as required to work in an operational airport.
56GPS based survey with Total Station for lighting design, GFC drawing, As built drawing and as when required survey for pipe laying, boxes, pipe routes and fittings installation as , making drawing, submitting the drawing, get it approved from AAI, Submit the cooridinates of each fitting and marking the coordinates for core cutting, submit all drawing, documents, test certificates for DGCA approval etc. complete as required.
57Photometric test at site of all the installed fittings, signs by using certified mobile vehicle mounted photometric tester for inset and panel snap or similar testing equipment for sign, arranging vehicle, engaging of competancy mapped OEM (of photometric instrument) trained engineers, generation of signed report then and there at site for submission to DGCA till their satisfaction for commissioning level approval including any retesting, repairing, cleaning, realigning etc. as required, carrying out photometric retesting of any sample(s) as demanded by DGCA/Engineer-In-Charge.
58Making temporary arrangement for AGL system to keep the Operation alive whenever required before excavation in project site, during this project, at commissioning level as per directions of the Engineer In charge and in close corodination with the AGL maintenance team as per NOTAM and phasing of project by manpower well versed with Kolkata airport AGL including laying of cables, connection/ termination to the existing ckts removing temporary arrangement, fittings, fixing whenever required complete as required along with necessary tools and consumables to maintain the serviceability standard and circuit integrity as per the DGCA CAR / ICAO. Fittings, Transformers, ASD, housing boxes, cable, connector if required shall be provided by AAI.
59Excavation of the trench in hard rock or bituminous / cement concrete of runways /taxiways/ apron/RESA/ Road etc. by power saw cutting without disturbing the other area, upto 1.5 mtr in width, and depth upto 1.0 mtr, including getting out the excavated debris, cleaning the cut area and disposal of excavated debris as directed within a lead of 5 KM including all machineries like power saw, hammer drill / pneumatic drill, water browser, mobile DG set, transportation etc. complete as required.
